"Yo, Jake!" A voice hollered out over the noise of the crowded bar.

The bartender looked up from what he was doing to see Connor Stoll, his longtime best friend since Kindergarten and one of his house mates, slide into an open seat.

"Dude, who should I pick up?"

"I didn't need to know that, Stoll... I really don't need to know your sex schedule any more than I already do." Jake sighed, drying off a stein with a towel.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. But dude, c'mon, ass, which one." The son of Hermes accompanied his question with a wiggle of his eyebrows.

Jake rolled his eyes before muttering, "If I help you will you shut up?"

"Well duh, I won't be able to talk with my mouth around some guy's c-"

"JUST GO OVER THERE." He demanded, pointing over his shoulder to a blonde man alone at a booth.

Jake immidiatly regretted opening his mouth. Truthfully, he had been eyeing the blonde all night. He couldn't get him off his mind. He was gorgeous. Brilliant blue eyes scanned the crowd, inspecting, searching, and rejecting. Jake had deduced that blonde was attracted at least to men, he never seemed to have his eyes linger on women.

Jake sighed to himself before getting back to work.

"Hi, there." A melodic voice chimed in a few minutes later.

"What can I do for you?" Jake asked as usual, lifting his head only to blink in surprise. It was the blonde man.

"Two things. Actually," he paused for a moment before adding a thought, "three things. First off: when's your shift over?" He said, leaning his elbow on the counter.

"Uh, 11:15. So like 30 minutes from now. Why?" Jake asked stunned.

"That's my second thing; would you like to get dinner with me?" The man smiled and Jake nearly melted then and there.

"Wha- uh- I mean, yeah. That'd be great!"

"I'm Will, by the way, Will Solace."

"Jake Mason." Jake shook the offered hand.

"You've got really pretty eyes, Jake."

"T-Thanks." He knew he just had to be blushing, he would bet his life savings on the Styx.

"And you're adorable when you blush!" Will laughed.

At least Jake didn't need to give away his money.

"Wha, what's the third thing?" He stammered.

"Already got it." Will winked, grinning at the emerald eyed man.
