Pairing: Mild Gojyo x Goku (however you wanna see it, honestly)

Gojyo and Goku had an argument while Sanzo and Hakkai were gone. Gojyo had said something about Goku's predictability, while the younger man had shot back something about Gojyo's womanizing ways. It was a bigger one than usual, and luckily it hadn't come to blows. They'd each walked away to let out the steam in their own way. Gojyo found himself sitting in a chair by the window, smoking a cigarette as usual. It calmed him down more than fighting would have, and after a while of watching the leaves blow around in the wind outside, he found himself drifting away, cigarette slack between his lips. His last thought was a vague wondering of what that "baka saru" was doing.

He woke up sometime later to the sound of Hakkai having a one-sided conversation with Sanzo in the other room. Becoming more aware of his surroundings, he felt a pleasant warmth at his feet. He looked down, and there Goku was at his feet and using his legs as a pillow. Gojyo blinked in surprise, and in the corner of his eye he saw his cigarette had been moved into the ashtray on the table. He stared down at Goku for a full minute before shaking his head and laughing lightly. Maybe the saru was more unpredictable than he'd thought.
