L.P.B.:

This One-Shot is dedicated to everyone, because we've all got a father, gone or still here. You can hate him, but he's still your father.

Words of Wisdom
(A One-Shot For Father's Day)

Takamine Kiyomaro, with his hands in his pockets, walked into the old home. He missed this place, and the little mamodo who used to live here.

A kid hung by his side, sticking close to him. A woman, somewhat shorter and happier than Kiyo, stood on the other side of the young boy.

"Ahh," an old man in a wheelchair exclaimed. He rolled the wheelchair towards Kiyo. "Kiyomaro! How long has it been? A few months? A few years?"

"Dad," Kiyo replied.

"And this must be Suzume,"Seitaro said, his voice as gentle as ever.

Suzume bent down, grinning. "That's me!"

"Hana and Kiyo has told me so many things about you. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Suzume."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, too, Dad." She hugged him tightly.

"Suzume, I don't think you should do that," Kiyo told her, sweatdropping.

"Nonsense, Kiyo," Seitaro said. "This is how you should always greet an elderly. Let's go somewhere so we can talk, Suzume. I want to hear all about the adventures you and Kiyo has been through. By the way, who is this little fellow here? He reminds me ofZatch Bell."

Seitaro and Suzume went to another part of the room, along with the little boy. The child said nothing since this was his first time seeing his grandfather. Hana, Kiyo's mother, entered from the hallway. There was a big commotion. She finally headed to the kitchen to make the perfect dinner for the reunion.

After all that's said and done, Seitaro and Kiyo were finally alone.

"Dad, can I talk to you about Zatch Bell?"

"Oh, yes. Where is he?"

Kiyo shook his head. "Thank you for sending him to me, Dad."

Seitaro smiled. "It was what I meant to do. He did a great job, I can tell." He paused. "Did you kick him out, Kiyo?"

"No." He laughed.

"So, he ran away."

"Wrong again."

"Well, where is he?"

"He's still alive, just not here." Kiyo had a distant look in his eyes.

"I sense there are things you are not telling me, Kiyo. What is it?"

He didn't reply.

"Did something happen to Zatch?"

"You can say that; then again, you can't. The point is, Dad, I'm glad you sent him to me."

"You miss him, don't you?"

"I do. He was like a little brother."

"Only now, you have a son," Seitaro noted. "Treat him right, Kiyo. I don't mind him becoming a genius like you, but I don't want him to be as obnoxious."

"I'm taking your advice this time." Kiyo gave his father a hug. He can never forget Zatch... the innocent mamodo that had returned to the Makai world.

L.P.B.:

Sorry, I don't like to drag things anymore. I mean, it's Father's Day. I don't know what's going to happen at the end of this anime. Zatch and Gash... still the same kid. Mamodo and mamono... Oh, well. I found the name of Kiyo's hometown on this site (in my Bio) and it also had his parents' names! It was so convenient, but the name of his hometown was spelled differently in some places. And I love Kiyo and Suzume. If you happen to know any good KS fic, let me know! Thanks for the reviews and happy Father's Day!
