Mourning of a Beloved Companion

It was the day of the memorial service for Nina Aka. She had breathed her last breath trying to defend Naruto from Sasuke. The only being that she had ever loved was Naruto. Now she had departed into the other realm because of him. It was his entire fault.

If she had lived more than likely she would have been preferred to be Hokage. Naruto was really distraught by her demise because she cherished him for being him and wasn't afraid of the demon that was inside of his body. He placed his legs off to the side of his bed. He just sat there thinking. What he could have done to save her?

He got up off his bed with his funeral shirt in his hands. He put his memorial service garments on.

He walked out of his dwelling and had bumped into Sakura. They just stared at each other neither saying a word.

When they got there they were stood in rows. Each brave ninja standing side-by-side feeling nothing but emptiness inside. Naruto couldn't bear to look towards the table that her photo and the flowers that the people had placed. Nina had touched the lives of so countless people.

She had found her siblings and was looking forward to reuniting with them. She was Hinata's, Sakura's and Ino's best friend. She was also a friend with boys too. She would tease and joke around with them. She had a really good sense of humor and she always was willing to give her own life up for her team or friends.

But now what would happen. She was gone. Naruto perked up his head and looked up towards the sky. Then flashbacks started playing in his head like a slideshow.

Nina was doing laundry and was in a summer dress that stopped to her knees. The dress was a light bash with white flowers on it. At the top there was white lace at the cleavage and it had thick straps. She had white slippers on and was sitting on the couch sorting out the laundry. Naruto had walked in and she looked up at him and smiled.

She had a soft and comforting smile. Whenever she smiled at him his heart felt like it could melt.

Then another one was when they first kissed and said I love you. Naruto and Nina had gotten into a big fight about her moving with her siblings. They weren't dating but he still didn't want her to leave. So she just left the apartment and walked. After about what seemed like an eternity he heard a knock on the door.

He got up from the couch and walked over to the door. He took a hold of the doorknob, twisted it and pulled it open. There was Nina in the doorway, in the rain.

Her eyes were blood shot from crying. "Naruto I-I… sorry…I just…was excited about seeing my siblings…I-I didn't think of how…" she was cut off when Naruto's lips came crashing onto hers. It was a pure, gentle, and innocent kiss. Naruto couldn't help it. He had dreamed of them kissing so many times.

But this time it wasn't a dream it was real. He was kissing her luscious lips at last.

Naruto was brought out of his thoughts when a raindrop dropped onto Naruto's cheek. He opened his eyes and looked up towards the sky. The sky was covered with dark clouds. There were some sunbeams beaming through the clouds. He could have sworn that he saw Nina's face formed by the clouds and a tear running down her cheek.

He suddenly felt happy. Was it the sight of Nina? Or was he wanting to see her so bad?

He treasured Nina and she with him. But life had to go on. Eventually as the years passed on he still would think of her everyday. He would never really forget her nor would any body else. One thing they could all hope for was a brighter and better future since so numerous had given up their lives for theirs to go on. The ones who gave up their lives would still be remembered as great shinobis. Just as Yondaime is to this day.
