(A/N) Hello, dear readers! Sarah here with yes, another fabulous oneshot.
Just kidding, it's terrible. I only posted it because cjclark made me. *shrugs* Okey, uh, there's really not much to say about this. Read on?
Crash's POV
"No, like this."
Poison demonstrated the proper way to hold a gun. I tried to focus on what he was doing, but all I could do was focus on… him.
Now, now, I know what you're thinking. Why is a seventeen year old girl just learning how to fire a gun? Well, all my life I've been a pacifist. I didn't fight, and refused to hold a weapon. But after last week's showdown with some Dracs that came awful close, Party Poison had insisted I learn to shoot. The rest of our Group- including me- had heartily agreed. I had to learn sometime.
I tried to copy Poison's position, and attempted at a shot at the target. The blast of my ray gun fired off into the distance. Once again, I was far off.
Party shook his head and walked over to me. "No, like this…" he said. He came up behind me, wrapping his arms around me from the back. He rested his chin on my shoulder, and out of the corner of my eye, I could see a strand of his shock- red hair falling in front of his face.
He doubled his hands over mine, on top of the ray gun, lacing our fingers together over the trigger.
"Like this," he said, and I could hear the smile in his voice.
I couldn't think at all, with him pressed up to me like that. Does he think I can? POISON, TAKE THE WHEEL!
He laughed. "C'mon, relax…" he said, and I realized I was incredibly tense. I eased into his embrace, and suddenly it wasn't about shooting anymore.
He slid my ray gun into my holster, situated on my thigh. His fingers brushed there, and I really, really hoped he couldn't feel me shiver.
His eyes were penetrating as he turned me around. What's he gonna try? I had no idea. A kiss? Usually he wasn't as forward, but now, it seems like a possibility.
"Crash…" he started, but seemed at a loss for words. "I, um…" His face heated up in a blush, and suddenly, I didn't feel as awkward.
I smiled, and he laughed. "I love your smile," he said, "as dorky as that sounds." He fidgeted, and rested his hands on my waist, subtlety pulling me closer until out chests were together and our noses touching. I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling his head down to mine. "You know," I whispered, our lips nearly touching, "I never liked target practice anyways."
He laughed, and playfully leaned down and bit at my neck. I stifled a giggle, and said, "C'mon, you damn vampire."
He lifted his head back up, resting his forehead against mine. He smiled, and I caught a glimpse of his small, white teeth, and I just went for it. I leaned up slightly, smile on my lips, and kissed him.
We were both a little nervous at first, neither one of us wanting to be the one who took it too far. After a while, we stopped being so self conscious, and he parted his lips to kiss me better. Things led to others, and we were exploring each other's mouths cheerfully and playfully, because that's the kind of people we were.
After a bit we break apart, and I smile at him. "Well," I said, "it's about time that happened."
He grinned back, and agreed; I nuzzled his neck, and he hugged me properly. After we'd finished, he steps back and gives me a serious look. "Now," he says, "how 'bout that laser practice?"
I sighed, but I'm in too good of a mood to argue. I pulled out my blaster, aimed. Beside me, Poison did the same.
"Now, like this," he instructed. "On three."
I readied myself, as he did.
"One…"
"Two…"
"Three!"
I pulled the trigger, and a bright green laser shot emitted from my ray gun. Right on target.
(A/N) Cue "Awwww,"s.
Reviews make me smile.
