Monkey King
Disclaimer: I don't own Oshitari, Atobe, or the Prince of Tennis.
Warning: I think Oshitari and Atobe might be OOC. A bit of crack in my definition.
Oshitari Yuushi couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as he had the pleasure of watching Atobe Keigo fume over the comment that the young prodigy, Echizen Ryoma made. "Monkey King."
"How dare that little brat call Ore-sama, Monkey King! Who does he think is?" Atobe was barely holding himself back from growling out of pure anger and frustration. Every time he met with Echizen, he was always being called that ridiculous name!
Oshitari let out a sigh and lazily looked through his school bag for a book that would be both an insult and a compliment towards his buchou. Fishing it out, in bold letters, the title "Journey to the West: The Monkey King's Amazing Adventures" by Wu Cheng'en and a picture of a warrior monkey.
Oshitari suddenly tossed it to Atobe. "Why don'tcha read this, will ya." His thick Kansai accent apparent.
Atobe caught it by mere reflexes and a scowl appeared on his face. At Oshitari's stare, he grudgingly began reading it. Getting to the part of the Monkey King, a smirk curled onto his lips.
"Arn…maybe the title 'Monkey King' isn't so bad after all."
"Great Sage Equal to Heaven."
Oshitari only let out a chuckle.
I don't think this turned out how I originally wanted, but I needed to get the idea out. Hope it was slightly enjoyable. Feedback is appreciative.
The Great Sage Equal to Heaven is a referment to Gensomaden Saiyuki when they're explaining a bit about Seitan Taisei Son Goku.
