Everyone has a life story.
It's basically what happened to them in the past that shaped them into who they are today. Life stories change from person to person, even if you're talking about the same person. With different points of view, millions of people out there, and an infinite amount of different scenarios, you'd probably die before you hear everyone's life story.
…Since we're on the subject of death…
What about ghosts? They were alive once, too.
What about their death story, about how they died? Did anyone else go with them? Did they go alone? What task, what obsession is so strong for them that not even death's icy grip can stop them? Was it a person? A job? Money? That new car they've been saving up for?
Unfinished business makes ghosts, but it's their obsessions that let them continue on existing long after any feeling of life has left them. Their emotions have the same effect, too.
Their sorrow...
Their pride...
Their hatred...
Their sense of duty...
Their regrets...
Even their love.
Whatever bound them here may be uknown to us, but...
Who's to say we can't try to explain it?
