"Hey, hold on a second," he said, "where are the Evangelions?"
"We got rid of them," said Misato. "They're being replaced with Furrygelions."
"What are those?"
"Furrygelions are an improvement over the old Evas," said Dr. Akagi. "And instead of plugsuits, you'll be using fursuits to pilot them."
"Fursuits?"
"Yes. And also, Nerv will now be known as Yiff."
The next day, the three pilots reported to the newly-renamed Yiff to put on their fursuits and learn how to control their Furrygelions.
"I look ridiculous in this!" said Asuka.
"Deal with it," said Rei.
SO now their were in their Furry units.
"Begin the synch test," said Dr. Akagi.
"I was thinking," said Maya. "Maybe later, we could take two spare fursuits and -"
"What have I told you about mixing work with pleasure?"
Maya sighed and went back to what she was doing.
At first, the test seemed to be going well. But then it all went wrong.
"Their fursuits are contaminating their psyches!" said an alarmed Maya.
"Stop the test!" Dr. Akagi ordered.
"It's too late!"
Rei and Asuka began acting like the animals they were dressed up as. Within moments they were yiffing.
Shinji, equally affected, broke free of the test area's confines and made his way to the surface.
"Stop him!" said Misato.
But it was too late; Shinji was using his Furrygelion to hump one of the buildings.
"NOOOOOOOO! I'll never be able to unsee that!"
"How long until their power runs out?" asked Akagi.
"At least an hour," said Maya.
"We need to think of something, and fast!"
"I know!" Maya grabbed a conveniently nearby megaphone. "Attention all furries! Fursecution is coming!"
And with that, the pilots promptly exited their Furrygelions and took off their fursuits.
"Are you alright?" said Misato.
"We are ourselves again," said Rei.
"What the hell was that?" said Asuka.
"I'm never going to live this down..." said Shinji.
And so the Furrygelions were sent back to the drawing board, and the Evas returned to service.
