Leah ran through the dense woodland, dodging trees almost as though it was second nature. Technically, it is. Leah had left La Push months ago, and didn't regret it at all. Sure, she missed Seth a little, as annoying as he was, but she loved the freedom that she had now. Just as she was thinking this, she felt someone phase in.
"Is this a dagger which I see before me,the handle toward my hand?"
"Seth, shut up. I was enjoying this peace and quiet before."
Seth smiled.

"Sorry, I was practising before I phased and now it's stuck in my head." Leah frowned.
"Practising?"
"Yeah, for Drama Club. I got the part of Macbeth for the school production."
Leah laughed.
"You? With a main role? How did that happen?" Seth chuckled.
"All that study Sam made me do paid off, apparently. It turns out I'd somehow already analysed and memorised at least half of Macbeth, and it stuck in my head." Leah nodded.
"Fair enough. Seems like Sam finally made a decent decision." Seth smiled.
"You're just jealous. Wasn't it always your dream to be an actor?" Leah's mood dropped. "OK, OK, I'm sorry I said that." Leah sighed.
"Why are you here, anyway? Did Sam or Jake send you to check up on me? Typical." Seth sighed.
"No, Leah. I came 'cause I need to talk to you."
"Aww, is my wittle brother missing me?" Seth smiled.
"You wish. No, I cam to talk to you 'cause Mum's sick." Leah came to an abrupt stop.
"Sick? How do you mean? The flu or something?" Seth sighed.
"No. She's got inflammation in the lungs. She keeps coughing real bad, and she can't breathe properly any more. The Doc' thinks she's only got a few more weeks." Leah was frozen to the spot.
"Weeks? But, how can it only be weeks? It's only been a few years since Dad died. How can this be happening?" Seth sighed.
"I know. It's as hard for me as it is for you, only I have to stay home with mum. I'm sitting in the front yard talking to you." Leah slowly began moving again.
"So this is why you wanted to talk to me?" Seth nodded.
"Yup. Anyway, I have to go back inside and help mum. Try and come home, please, even if it's just for a week or two. I could really use your help." Leah nodded and sighed.
"I'll try, I promise. I'll see what I can do. Can you check in tomorrow and tell me how she's going?" Seth nodded.
"Will do. Thanks, Leah." Leah smiled.
"No problemo, bro." Seth phased out, leaving Leah alone with her thoughts. A few minutes later, she began running again, running back the way she had come, the way back home…
