Once Upon a Stormy Night

A clash of thunder drew out noise and echoed through the surrounding areas. Duo yipped and buried himself under the massive heap of covers from his bed. He heard footsteps approaching the room.
The door opened slowly, and in walked the Japanese boy. Looking to his bed and then back to Duo, he sighed.
"Why aren't there any covers on my bed?"
Duo looked to be sheepishly pulling the covers around him tightly. "You know, I think I have a cold or something. The chills are really getting to me!"
"You actually think that I'm going to believe that?"
"No, but the truth is that I feel way better with a lot of covers. You weren't here, so I decided to steal yours instead."
As the lightening lit up the surrounding areas, Duo jumped again. Raising an eyebrow, Heero only had one thing to say. "You're afraid of storms."
"No, I'm not!" Duo protested but Heero looked to his laptop, setting vacant on the desk. "I'm not going to use it tonight, it's dangerous, in a storm like this. I'm going to catch up on some sleep, so give me my covers."
"No." Duo said stubbornly.
"What?"
"I said no. Covers and now mine, not yours."
"Give them back."
"Nope, mine."
"I don't want to fight you, but I will get them back."
Duo stuck his tongue out, "You're about to use up your word quota for the month." Heero glared to him and walked over slowly. As another clap of thunder called out, Duo jumped at Heero in fright. Unsuspecting, Heero found himself lying backwards on the cement floor, looking up to the boy pinning him down. Duo was still hiding under the covers, grasping them tightly.
Duo then pulled away from his face to see Heero looking to him, questioning. Duo jumped back onto the bed and stuck his tongue out again, "Nyan!"
"Are you going to give the covers back or not?"
"Damn, you're slow tonight! I told you that they where mine!" Getting up from the floor Heero shrugged, "You never know when you are going to change your mind." Heero made an attempt to snatch the top cover away from Duo, but because of the tight grip Duo flew with them.
Falling on the floor once again, Duo smacked his head. "You are mean!"
"I know, give them to me."
A tug of war started with the blanket that belonged to Heero. Heero was undoubtedly stronger, but as another flash of lightening evaded the room, Duo got a sudden adrenaline rush.
The blanket ripped in half.
"Ch. Now you're sleeping without a blanket Hee-chan! You ripped it."
Duo was regardless to the fact that Heero had already snatched up his. "Hey! That was mine to start out with!"
"You ripped mine. I claim yours."
"No fair!"
Heero laid down on his bed and pulled Duo's cover over his head as well. Duo pouted for a second, staring and thinking of ways to get that cover back. Again, the storm called it's name and Duo rushed over to the bed Heero was laying on, jumping under the covers as well. Heero sat up and looking to the lump under the cover.
"You really are afraid of storms, aren't you." Duo peeked out, wearing the edge of the sheet almost like a hood. "No shit, Sherlock. I'm not trying to impose, I'm not trying to steal, but we are going to share."
Heero let an amused grin come to his face.
"Whatever you say."
