The Kiss

I know I said that I would do a sequel to my other story "PE The Future is Hope", and I will. I just had this great idea for a fluffy story. I hope you like it. This is a kind of rewrite of the storyline ending.

Disclaimer: I do not own Final Fantasy XIII-2, it belongs to Square Enix.

He thought he had saved her. But as he cradled her in his arms, he cried in despair because of his failure. Hope looked at him sadly, knowing what she had meant to him.

Suddenly, footsteps were heard coming towards them. "Where's Serah?" a voice asked. Hope turned around to look at Snow and silently shook his head. Snow looked at Noel, who was still crying over Serah's body. He became angry. "Why didn't you save her? She's dead and it's your fault!" he ran up to Noel and took Serah away from him. Then he started to cry.

Noel answered Snow, still crying. "I tried. I thought I had saved her. But I didn't. I didn't." Suddenly he had an idea. "Wait a minute. Serah was a seeress like Yuel."

"Yeah, so?" Snow asked.

"In the Kingdom of Paddra, the seeress was like a princess. She ruled the Kingdom." Noel stopped crying, getting excited.

"What are you getting at?" Snow said impatiently.

"My grandma used to tell me stories of princesses who would come back from the dead by True Loves Kiss. Since Serah was a seeress, like Yuel, she's like a princess. She could wake up by being kissed by her true love." Noel said with happiness.

Snow snorted. Hope asked a question. "Then why didn't the Yuel's just come back to life from being kissed instead of having to be reborn?"

"Because they disappeared after they died. They sort of dissolved." Noel explained. He turned to Snow. "Try kissing her." He said.

Snow thought about it then replied. "Okay. I'll try." He then leaned down and kissed her. It didn't work. He kissed her again, and again, it didn't work. Snow looked sad, but then looked at Noel as if he had a revelation. "You try. You try kissing her." He said.

Noel looked desperate. "No. It couldn't be me."

"You were there for her this entire time. I wasn't. I know how you feel about her. Try it. I know it's you." Snow said.

Noel was silent for a moment, then nodded. Slowly he kneeled down and took Serah from Snows arms. He looked at her lovingly, then leaned down and kissed her softly. He waited for only a moment when Serah suddenly took a breath. She opened her eyes and looked into Noel's deep blue eyes and said: "I knew you would save me. I knew it was you."

Noel just gazed at Serah's sea blue orbs, not saying a word. The two of them were in their own little world for a moment when a cough was heard. They looked away, embarrassed, and turned to see Hope and Snow watching them in amusement.

"Guess it worked, right Snow?" Hope said with slight humor in his tone. "We have a wedding to plan, and hopefully these two lovebirds will keep their passions reigned in."

Snow chuckled. "We better not leave them alone in an empty room, or else they might do something naughty."

Noel and Serah blushed, both protesting that they would never do that. Snow and Hope just laughed and turned away.

"Better get going, got lots do to." Hope said.

"See ya. I'm happy for you." Snow said.

They both then walked away, leaving Noel and Serah alone. Serah looked at Noel. "Wanna go somewhere private?" She asked mischievously.

Noel smirked as he helped her stand. "Let's get going, shall we?"

They then ran away, holding hands, looking for the nearest hotel.
