AN: This isn't related to my fic Traitor in any way, shape or form.
"Why'd you do it?" Irma asked Will, dragging Will out of her reverie. "Why did you betray us to Phobos?"
"Why should I tell you?" Will sneered.
"Because you have nothing to lose." Irma replied with a scowl.
"You always were a smart-arse Irma."
"So I've been told. So why?"
Will drew in a deep breath and sighed. "It started back in Fadden Hills I suppose." Will paused, before continuing. "My so-called friends abandoned me in the chaos following my parents divorce. After that, I realised that it was inevitable. Friends will always let you down eventually."
"We wouldn't have!" Irma protested. Will looked Irma in the eye.
"Yes you would." A predatory grin stole across Will's face. "I figured I'd get you guys first."
Irma shook her head sadly. "You're really f%$£~ up Will. It's a shame Taranee isn't here, she'd probably be able to explain precisely what's wrong with you. If onl-"
"Ah yes, poor, deluded Taranee. Do you remember what happened to her?" Will interrupted with a sadistic smile that made Irma feel like her veins were awash with the fires of anger. "I see you do. Does the sounds of her screams as she slowly burnt alive haunt your nightmares?"
"Taranee came to you because she thought that you were under some kind of spell, or mind control technique. She believed in you!" Irma snapped back.
"Taranee was nothing more than a naive fool!" Will shot back. "Of course, thanks to my powers, she was conscious when the fire started to burn her alive."
"We could've been the best Will." Irma said calmly, as her stomach started doing turns at the memory of Taranee's death. "We could've thrashed Phobos, no sweat."
"Cornelia didn't believe in me at the start." Will pointed out and Irma threw her hands up into the air in exasperation.
"Cornelia didn't believe anyone could do it at the start!" Irma yelled.
"And when we killed Elyon, Phobos draining her powers like a vampire, Cornelia tried to kill me. She seemed to think that she was a match for me in any way, shape or form. She wasn't even close and the look on her face when I fried her with my powers was priceless."
Irma scowled again. "She was angry and with good reason. You were an accessory to the murder of her best friend."
"Like you did when we captured Hay Lin?" Will asked with a nasty grin. "Cedric made her scream for hours and hours torturing her. She died cursing the name Guardian."
"You bitch!" Irma snapped, pulling back her fist to punch Will, before letting it drop.
"Ahhh, did you like her Irma? Did you love her?" Will asked sarcastically.
"We were practically sisters bitch!" Irma murmured in a low whisper. "And you never managed to break her, did you?"
"No, we didn't." Will said in a disappointed voice. "And now it's time for the execution."
"So it is." Irma replied casually and the two guards forced the now powerless Will Vandom to the floor. Withdrawing her Colt 45 from its holster, Irma cocked the weapon and placed it against the front of Will's head.
"I hope you burn in hell, you traitorous bitch!" Irma hissed and squeezed the trigger. As the .45 calibre round exploded out the back of Will's head, Irma smiled grimly. "Should've pick the right side, you evil cow."
"So what do we do now?" Orube asked from the corner of the room. Irma turned to face her friend, the only survivor of Candracar's fall. Oracle, Yan Lin, Luba and all the others had died and now Orube was the only one left from the once-great temple.
"Now we rebuild the world of course." Irma replied calmly.
AN: Having read a fair few stories where Will goes bad for Phobos and then betrays the guardians to their defeat, I thought I'd try and write one where things turn out differently. Hope you liked it, please R&R because this kind of story is really not my kind of writing.
