I sat locked in my husband and I's bathroom. It'll be easier to clean up the blood this way. I thought to myself. I pulled a piece of paper out of the notebook that held so many of my secrets.

Dear family and friends,

My depression is continually getting worse and worse. There isn't an amount of antidepressants that could save me. I'm too far gone… It is time that I save myself and save Fang and Amber the pain of a suicidal wife and mother. I'm doing this so you won't have to be burdened by my depression anymore. You won't have to pay for the doctor's visits or the medications any longer.

Please just forget about me and move on with your lives.

I laid the note on the counter and got in the shower closing the glass door, I brought the gun to my head.

FangPOV

I sat on the floor with Amber, my toddler, as she played. Max was still sleeping in our room so I had left our room quietly to get Amber to feed her.

A gunshot rang out throughout the house making my blood go cold and my heart stop. Amber started crying and I bolted up, picking her up with my phone dialing 9-1-1 immediately.

"9-1-1 what's your emergency?" A female voice answered.

"I think my wife just committed suicide." I rushed to the bathroom door after setting Amber in her crib. The door was locked so I started to kick the door down.

"Sir, what's currently happening?" The door frame splintered and the door flung open. "Sir?"

"I just broke down the door to the bathroom." That's when I turned and saw blood coating the shower walls.

"Oh God, Max." Pulling the glass door open, I saw Max slumped against the wall on the floor.

In the distance I heard the sirens. I then realized I was still on the phone. I hung up and kneeled next to my wife.

"Max, my Max, why did you do this." Tears started rolling down my face.

"Mr. Ride?" I turned and through blurry eyes I saw a police officer.

"Yes," I answered.

"Could you come to the living room to answer a few questions?" I nodded and followed him out of the bathroom.

"I'm going to get my daughter." He waited for me as I picked her up and walked back into the living room.
