I am on a roll for Alola one-shots for some reason, so here's one for Sun meeting Solgaleo. There will be one almost exactly like this but for Moon meeting Lunala. So yep. And if you read both, you'll see Sun and Moon's very different personalities. And I swear, after I write the one for Moon meeting Lunala, I will get back to Delta Emerald.

The Altar of the Sunne was amazing. Alola had ruins, sure, but I had only ever been inside Tapu Fini's ruins. I didn't think of exploring the Ruins of Life, wasn't fond of trudging through the Haina Desert just to see some dumb ruins, and even if I wanted to, and Tapu Koko's ruins were now off limits after the bridge collapsed when Nebby…. I stopped staring at the ruins to glance at Lillie, who had an expression of sadness and hope. I thought I saw a bit of excitement, just for a moment, but it slipped away.

"Let's go, and play the flutes." I told Lillie. She nodded and began to trek up the stairs, me not far behind. It was obvious that nobody had visited the place in a long time, let alone taken care of it, from the broken off pieces of the staircase. What a dump.

It took a while to make it to the top of the staircase, both Lillie and I panting from the heat. I pulled the Sun Flute out of my bag, and she pulled the Moon Flute out of hers. I caught a glimpse of Nebby inside, but said nothing. Heading to the right side of ruins, I crossed onto the platform, and waited for Lillie to get ready. We both began to play the flutes.

I actually never had played an instrument before, but it seemed to come naturally to me for some reason. Lillie played beautifully as well. The symbol on the ruins glowed, and water began to run down on either side of it, as if the flutes had triggered something. Lillie had set her bag down before beginning to play, which was good, because that pretty much went flying off into the middle of the altar. Lille dropped the flute, the very old and very precious artifact, let me remind you, and cried, "Nebby!"

Then again, she wasn't the only one who was dropping precious artifacts when she saw that. Guess we both were going to have to pay the government of Alola some pretty hefty fines later. Nebby was surrounded by a bright light, almost as if he was- no. "I think Nebby's evolving, Lillie." Was all I said. And that's how I came face to face with Solgaleo.
