AEGIS-8
A treacherous planet, AEGIS-8 was discovered 13 years ago by John Dominguez, an explorer seeking planets that could sustain human life. He found a humid, dangerous planet called AEGIS-8. He and his crew set up camp in the lush planet, but soon discovered the many dangers. Almost everything was a predator. There were large serpents that were quick as a cheetah and as strong as a bear living deep in the jungle. These creatures were deadly, and John lost 17 members of his crew of the 25 that came. John spent the next 13 years convincing NASA to set up colonies on the planet. With the protection of marines, the planet could be colonized. 6 years after its discovery, 5 marine bases were built on the island. The construction workers suffered heavy losses to an unknown creature that lived in the trees, taking the heads of the humans and shooting them from afar. One man who got away claimed it was a humanoid creature, with long hair and shark blades protruding from the hands. He said it lured him by speaking in a garbled human voice, and then lunged at him when he got in range. The man managed to stab the creature, where it then retreated into the jungle. Now colonies have been set up in the dense planet, and they have been asked to record their thoughts in audio diaries.
