Dark Savior

Pairing: ShadowXCosmo

Summary: "Y-you saved me?"

Oh, and ignore that fact that Cosmo is not dead, okay?

In Station Square, it was pouring outside. The sun was nowhere to be seen, the clouds were all gray and gloomy looking, and nobody was roaming about outside. They were probably all cozy in their humble homes. Although, a green seedrian girl, that came from outer space, was caught in the rain. She didn't mean to. She originally walked to the grocery store. When she was done shopping, she saw a gray rain cloud.

Now, she was drenched, from head to toe, and was still walking out in the rain...with her shopping items all soaked. Cosmo was upset over that, but she knew she was almost home. Once she would get home, she would take a nice, warm bath and let her groceries dry up. Cosmo began to trot through the rain, holding onto her bag as tight as she could. She had difficulty seeing her way through this heavily rainy-mist covered path. Although she couldn't really see her way, she swore she could make out some houses farther up...or so she thought.

Cosmo squinted her eyes as the rain poured down even harder than before. Couldn't see the path anymore, she sighed. Cosmo still kept walking, aimlessly though. She felt as if she was a blind person now.

Suddenly, she tripped over a log and fell, face first, into the dirty mud puddle. Her groceries was now spilled all over the ground, ruined. Cosmo growled and slowly stood up o her feet. She knew her green flats (and her emerald green hair, her dress also) was covered with mud. She could feel it. She's defiantly going to need that bath now. Cosmo sighed again and picked up her groceries. She continued with her wandering.

As she kept walking, she felt the ground leveling upwards. She walked up the steep hill. Until suddenly, she fell again. And this time, there was no ground beneath her. The frightened seedrian girl grabbed onto a random branch that was rooted out of the soil.

"Ahhh!" Cosmo shrieked into the rain, the sound of the rain overpowered her scream. Cosmo couldn't fly. Although, she really wished she could. Her legs were kicking about. She wanted to go back on the ground, where she belonged.

For a moment, Cosmo looked down, and through the mist and the rain, she could see sharp, pointy, jagged rocks down below. Cosmo gulped and hung onto the branch for dear life. How long was she going to stay like this? Will she ever be rescued?

To Cosmo's horror, the branch was slowly pulling out of the ground. If that branch gets pulled out, then Cosmo will fall all the way down to the rocks.

"Oh no!" Cosmo held her breath and closed her eyes, tightly. She didn't want to see her own death. The branch was now completely out of the soil. Cosmo fell backwards downwards, with her eyes still tightly shut. Her breathing stopped. It felt as if this whole thing was going in slow motion. Cosmo didn't realize that a pair of hands quickly scooped her up, bridal style, and jumped to the top of the cliff, where Cosmo was before.

When her death didn't arrive, Cosmo slowly opened her eyes and saw a heroic blue blur. It took Cosmo a moment to realize what just happened. She couldn't believe that she almost died.

"Y-you saved me?" Cosmo gratefully said, the black blur carefully put her back on her feet. The ebony hedgehog rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Thank you so much for saving me!" Cosmo bowed her head in appreciation.

"Whatever." Shadow narrowed his crimson eyes at the petite girl.

"Don't expect me to save you again though," Shadow said harshly, turning away from Cosmo and walked away, into the rain. Cosmo blinked, sinking all of this into her head.

'He saved me. I'm very grateful for that. I must know his name.'

Cosmo tilted her head in confusion before running towards the mysterious black hedgehog.
