Christmas was always a very important occasion for Atobe. That is, to show off all his wealth. This year he was holding a big bash for the tennis regulars from Fudomine, Rikkai Dai, Rokkaku, Jyousei Shounan, Seigaku and his own Hyotei Gakuen. As always, it would be very exquisite and formal, nothing less than what was expected from Atobe Keigo. And dancing. There would definitely be lots of that. After all, he was widely known as the 'King of the Dance Floor'.
And that very occasion found Atobe observing (he wouldn't stoop himself down as low as to say staring) at Yukimura Seiichi, sitting by the window. Ignoring the loud screams and yells from the other side of the decorated ballroom (most likely coming from Momoshiro of Seigaku and Kamio of Fudomine fighting over Tachibana's little sister), he continued his observation, as he liked to tell himself.
Quite pitiful, was what flitted through his mind as he studied Rikkai Dai's captain gazing wistfully into the night sky as he subconsciously made his way towards the boy. The peaceful and serene expression on his face nearly made Atobe stop striding purposefully towards the beautiful youth. Nevertheless, he plundered forward, determined to ask the pretty wallflower for a spin around the dance floor.
Clearing his throat, he opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. His legs were feeling a bit wobbly, the roof of his mouth dry and his poise out the window. So much for his 'be awed by my prowess'.
And just as he felt like he had gathered enough confidence to try and speak again, the blue-haired boy turned, and Atobe just about collapsed. And Yukimura smiled, giving him the confidence to ask.
"May I have your hand for this dance?" No smart comments, pick-up lines or anything like that. Just a simple, polite question. One which was answered by a young boy whose eyes shone radiantly, like the moon in the night sky.
"Yes."

Atobe smirked as Yukimura spun him around. It wasn't often that Atobe Keigo let his partner take the upper hand in a dance. In fact, it was unheard of. That is, until he had this dance. Yukimura had expertly dominated the dance completely from the beginning, showing his expertise in the area of waltz, his graceful body swaying naturally. It was nearly enough to make Atobe hand over his title to his dance partner. Nearly. But the more that he thought about it, pair seemed better. A title such as the Waltz Pair. Yes, that sounded pretty snazzy. Superb, at the least.
As the music came to an end, Atobe was brought into a close embrace by Yukimura.
"You know, I could get used to this," Atobe confidently said.
Yukimura smiled, and softly replied with his honeyed voice, "I think I could too."
"We are the unbeatable waltz pair," Atobe breathed as the soft spoken boy led him out onto the dance floor for another dance, to dance the night away.
