The sun's rays still reach Mars even though they are really far away. Even though it seems hot, it really isn't. The sun shined on the Martian city. It's heat from the rays amplified to be of use. The hexagonal plates of the dome show through. The light shines off the buildings and their white material. it would have been a real peaceful sight, if not for the battle going on.
Troops from Earth and Venus defend on a Martian city. Martian troops work to pull them out. Even if it means destroying the city. Orange plated troops of Earth carry V19 rifles and R23 pistols. Venus Enforcers carry S86 rifles in their white plated uniform. The white and black Martian battle armor with their distinct light blue T shaped visor carry T32 rifles. Venus and Earth troops move through the city and defend it. They are losing badly. Overhead battle cruisers make one final run before disengaging. They try to gather civilians and push the Martian military out of certain areas. In one of the ships, there is a small squad of Earth soldiers who prepare to head down to the fight. Private John, Nathaniel, Paul, and Adam all sit in front of their sergeant, Frost, as he explains their mission.
"We need to help push the Martians from the park. It acts as a LZ for troops. If we take it, they will need to look for a new place to get troops down." John, a rifleman, sits with his V19 load and in his hands with his R23 holstered. Adam, the squad heavy weapons, has his A54 gauss rifle and his V19 out. Nathaniel, the squad medic, polishes his V19. Paul, the squad sniper, works with his Z11 sniper rifle. Frost moves to the weapons rack and pulls out his V19. He starts walking towards the hanger. "Get to the gunship, now!" He yells at them. They all get up with their weapons and start a jog down to the hanger.
In the hanger, a gunship sits with its unprotected sides open for troops to get in. The squad gets in and the ship takes off. It heads to the city below. The troops watch as the doors close on either side. Bulletproof windows offer troops inside to view where they are going. Outside, it is total war. Buildings are heavily damaged, troops fighting troops, unmanned drones fly above and shoot at other ships, and civilians are going up a large elevator that leads to a Venus carrier ship.
The ship flies over a building and Paul spots two figures. He thinks they are friendlies but then sees the rocket launcher one of them is carrying. "Rocket trooper! Get down!" The rocket trooper fires at the ship. It tries to pull out but is unsuccessful as the rocket slams into its back wing. Frost forcefully opens one of the doors. "Jump!" He yells. He jumps off the ships and onto the rail the Martians were on. He starts to fire at them as they get to cover. Adam is next to jump. He jumps off but is hit by the ship's side as it spins out. He goes flying off to the deep city area. Nathaniel just falls to the ground as he jumps. The ground being 2 to 3 miles down. The ship hits him in the head and he gets thrown off course and to a city block two to three city blocks away. By this time, the gunship is too far away for the troops to reach it. Paul lands on a rooftop of another building and immediately takes cover. John moves to jump to him but another rocket trooper appears on the roof. A Martian rifleman fires at Paul as he tries to get a shot off on the rocket trooper with his pistol. John hesitates to jump and then takes two steps back as the rocket trooper fires. John tries to get back but the rocket hits the roof of the gunship and John flies back into the unopened door on the other side. He immediately blacks out as the gunship heads to the deepest part of the city.
