I Don't Own anything

Been Far Away For Far Too Long

NOTE: SONG IS FAR AWAY BY: NICKELBACK

This time, this place,

Misused, mistakes

Too long, too late

Who was I to make you wait

Nathan drove up to his house. He was a little bit nerves about going to the door. He left the love of his life waiting on him to return in there. Nathan was questioning his dissection about leaving her for basketball.

What if it is too late, Nathan thought to himself.

Just one chance

Just one breath

Just in case there's just one left

Nathan walked up to the door knowing he had only one chance to get this right. He took one last breath before he knocked on the door to his own house. Nathan felt as if every breath he took would be his last.

'Cause you know,

You know, you know

That I love you

Haley walked to the door and opened it. She was surprised to see her husband standing there.

"Nathan what are you doing here?" Haley know what his answer would be.

"I live here." Nathan replied.

"Not when you walk out on me you don't." Haley said trying to shut the door, but Nathan put his arm in the way, and pushed it back open.

"Haley I love you and I want to came home." Nathan said with pleading eyes.

I have loved you all along

And I miss you

Been far away for far too long

Lucas walked into the same room as Haley. He was holding a little boy with Blond hair just like Luke's and blue eyes like Nathan's.

"Momma." called the little boy. Nathan looked over at the boy feeling his heart sink.

"I never stopped loving you and I missed you but I guess you didn't return the favorer." Nathan said hurt.

"Luke please take Jamie into the backyard." Haley asked.

"Wait," Jamie yelled, "that's Nathan Scott the pro basketball player!" Lucas did as he was told and took Jamie away.

"You've been far away for far too long Nathan." Haley said sharply.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me

And you'll never go

Stop breathing if

I don't see you anymore

Nathan just stood there for a secant.

"Are you asking for a divorce?" Nathan asked.

"I kept dreaming you would be with me in the morning when I wake and you would never go away." Haley paused and looked up at Nathan.

"Haley I'll stop breathing if I don't see you anymore." Nathan was heartbroken.

"That's not my fault now is it!?" Haley throw that question on him.

One my knees, I'll ask

Last chance for one last dance

'Cause with you, I'd withstand

All of hell to hold your hand

Nathan dropped to his knees.

"Nathan." Haley said scared.

"Dance with me." Nathan begged.

"What?"

"Dance with me one last time." Haley started to cry hearing him say that. She shock her head no only causing Nathan to drop his. Nathan would run to hell and back just to dance with her one last time, but he couldn't put those feelings into words.

I'd give it all

I'd give for us

'Cause you know,

You know, you know,

I love you

Nathan stood back up looking over Haley at the little boy with his little brother.

"Haley I'm not giving up on us." Nathan said holding back the tears he so desperately wanted to cry.

"I'll give it all away, everything, but I wont give up." Nathan continued.

"Nathan." Haley said almost in a whisper. Haley heard a door slam and the little tapping of feet.

"Momma." Jamie called once more. Haley turned and picked him up.

I have loved you all along

And I miss you

Been far away for far too long

I keep dreaming you'll be with me

And you'll never go

Stop breathing if

I don't see you anymore

Nathan stood there looking at the boy in Haley's arms.

He called her momma, Nathan thought. At this point the was an the edge of a major breakdown.

"How dare you. I never stopped loving you. I missed you, and you go off and have a child with another man. My brother at that!" Nathan yelled, pointing at Lucas who was taking Jamie away.

"How dare I… how dare I! Nathan I dreamed of you waking up beside me and you never leaving me, but when I woke up all I ever found was my pregnant belly!" Haley yelled back.

"Why Luke, huh? Why my brother?" Nathan questioned.

"Nathan you don't know the story. You've been far away for far too long to know the story!" Haley yelled at him.

So far away

Been far away for far too long

So far away

Been far away for far too long

But you know, you know, you know

I wanted

Wanted you to stay

"Then tell me the story Haley. I deserve the truth!" Nathan was extremely mad at this point.

"You were so far away and I wanted you to stay, but you left me without looking back." Haley started.

"I got that. Now stop rubbing it in." Nathan interrupted.

"Like I was say, you left me, but you didn't know you were actually leaving two people. Nathan Jamie is not Luke's he's yours. I was pregnant when you left to follow your dreams." Haley finished, studying the expressions on Nathan's face.

'Cause I needed

I need to hear you say

That I love you

I have loved you all along

And I forgive you

For being away for far too long

So keep breathing

'Cause I'm no leaving

Hold on to me and

Never let me go

"Why didn't you tell me? You could have called." Nathan said embarrassed from all the assumptions he made that were not true.

"Cause I needed you to come home on your own term, so you could finally walk away from the game, and not be pulled away from it." Haley started crying. Nathan stepped forward to give her a hug, but haley stepped back.

"Haley." Nathan said worried.

"I needed to hear you say 'I love you.'" She was still crying.

"I did so I love you, and I'm sorry I walked out on you and Jamie." Nathan pleeded.

"I forgive you for being far away for far too long." Haley told him while wiping the tears from her face.

"I'm not leaving you no more." Nathan said.

Jamie came running in the room and over to Haley.

"Momma." He said once more. Like came in the room.

"Sorry Hales, but he just wants his mother." Lucas said walking out of the room.

"Momma can Nathan stay for dinner?" Jamie asked.

"I don't think so." She said looking at her son.

"Why not momma?"

"Cause momma is upset with Nathan right now."

"Why?"

"For a reason that happen before you were born."

"You know Nathan Scott before I was born? Are you made at him for having our last name?" little Jamie asked

"No… Jamie Nathan is… your father." Haley said closing her eyes.

"Nathan Scott is my daddy?" Jamie asked.

"Yes."

"Cool." Jamie hopped down from his mom and hugged Nathan's leg.

"Daddy finally came home for me just like I knew he would. I told those people he didn't love basketball more than me and momma. I told them." He said with a smile. Hearing those words come out of a five year old boys mouth made both their hearts sink.

"Jamie can you go up to your room? Me and Nathan need to finish talking." Haley said roughening the moment.

Jamie ran upstairs with the biggest a smile on his face he's had in the last two years.

"Nathan you can move back in. Jamie needs his daddy, but it's going to take time to repair the bridges you burned." Haley told him as she walked into his hug.

"This time I'll hold on to you and never let go." Nathan told her.
