The Link of Souls and Swords

Link sighs as he walks down a deep forest path. He's wearing his forest green tunic and hat. His trusty Gilded Sword and Mirror Shield hang on his back from his adventures in Termina. He is now 15 years old and he tried to find his way back to Hyrule, but was magically transported to a new world with a grave enemy. Soul Edge. As soon as he walked into the unknown forest Lizardmen, which he almost mistaken for Lizalfos, attacked him. That's how he found out about the evil in this world and made it his obligation to destroy it. He soon found out his Triforce of Courage somehow can allow him to speak and read this world's languages. It could also protect him from the evil aura the Soul Shards that he picks up from the dead Lizardmen.

He's been travelling in this world for about three days, and in all three days he's been exploring the forest. He soon see's an exit as he walks by. Excited he runs outside. He hears the bushes rustling behind him. Link turns around to see a large figure with an axe charging right towards him. Link draws his sword and shield as he jumps out of the way from a heavy downswing the figure had. Link when he first saw the figure, thought it was an Iron Knuckle, but in fact it's a Berserker, a servant of Nightmare, the wielder of Soul Edge. Link saw its crimson eyes through its mask and his Triforce burned slightly. He soon realizes that this figure is cursed. Link tried to pull out his Ocarina of Time but the figure wouldn't let him as it charges over to Link trying to strike again.

Link backflips to dodge the slash and he immediately retaliates with his Jump Slash move, greatly wounding it. It grunted in pain as it bled green blood. It spun around with its axe as it goes to Link, attempting to behead him. Link rolls under the axe and stabs the Berserker in the leg, making it fall on the ground on its knee. Link rams it down on the ground fully on its back.

*Play the Song of Healing*

Link points his sword at the Berserker's throat.

"Tell me… Why did you attack me?" Link asks to his dying foe.

"S-Soul Edge…" The Berserker said, reaching for his pouch where he once kept the remains of the bosses he met in Termina, but now what kept the Soul Shards.

Link mutters an apology to the corrupted human as he stabs the Berserker in the throat, ending its life. Link jumps off the dead body as he cleans the Gilded Sword with a small rag he kept in his enchanted equipment bag. Link sheathes his sword and puts the shield back on his back. He walks on a path, towards a lake, to get some much needed rest. He looks at the sky and he knew in this journey he would meet many allies and new foes as well. This journey would be long and he needed to take his time and rest, or else fall to the evil blade. This is the start of Link's Journey.
