note: Old oneshot I wrote, like... over a year ago. I have no idea why I never uploaded it. Also, there's some wacky stylistic sentence structure ahead. Deal, yo.
The water's cold against his skin and there's a dragonfly perching on the rock next to him and Cloud's hands are wandering over his body and he can barely breathe. There's a breeze blowing through the cove and it's making him shiver and the dragonfly's a dark brown color and Cloud's teeth are leaving marks over his neck. The sound of the waterfall is filling his ears but he can't hear it and Cloud's whispering to him and the dragonfly's wings are shaped like leaves and nothing is as it seems.
He's thinking of fire and he's not sure why but all he can do is moan as Cloud's hands slip lower and there are exotic birds flying overhead. He can smell flowers and they're everywhere and nowhere and Cloud's stroking him and the dragonfly's fluttering its wings anxiously as water splashes over the rocks when he bucks upwards. Cloud's skin is glistening in the sun and he's hot and cold at the same time and the fire's spreading through him because Cloud is looking at him that way and he shivers again but it's not because of the water this time.
He can hear the cawing of one of the birds and Cloud's whispering to him but he isn't listening because the dragonfly's staring at him and he can only stare back as Cloud enters him without preparation. His head falls back and it hurts but he likes it and there are tears gathering in his eyes because of the pain and the dragonfly laughs at him. The birds have returned and they're in the trees surrounding the cove and Cloud is pulling back out and thrusting inside again and he nearly whimpers but the way the dragonfly's looking at him makes it stop.
Cloud keeps moving and the water's soothing the fire and he moans loudly at the feeling of Cloud easing deeper into him. The dragonfly is still staring at him but he doesn't care because he just stares back at it through half-lidded eyes while Cloud begins panting above him. He's writhing between Cloud and the rocks behind him and the birds are flying through the cove again and the sunlight is reflecting on the water and it would be perfect but the dragonfly is leering at him.
It isn't long before he can't keep his eyes open and he's moaning and crying out as Cloud's thrusts become frantic and the dragonfly watches as he lets out an ecstasy-filled cry and comes. The pleasure is overwhelming and it feels like it's going to start raining and Cloud is kissing him while the water sprays against his face. The smell of flowers is growing stronger and his body's shuddering and he's clutching around Cloud and the dragonfly takes off when Cloud comes as well.
Cloud's murmuring his name but he's too busy watching as the dragonfly hovers through the air and wanders near the waterfall and is crushed by the roaring torrent. He smiles and Cloud's voice is growing worried and then he's back in their room and Cloud's expression is just as concerned as his voice from where the other's positioned above him.
"Leon... You didn't look at me the entire time."
And Leon only smiles again and pulls Cloud down to the sheets so that he can lean against him as his body relaxes.
"It was the dragonfly."
Cloud says nothing and Leon dreams of illusions.
