A/n this was written for Editor Frog who wanted to read a lecture from Morgan to Reid after the events of Amplication.

"You can leave now Morgan," Reid dropped his messenger bag on the floor of his bedroom.

"No… I think I'll stay around." Morgan pulled the chair away from Reid's desk, turned it around and straddled it.

"I'm tired… Can't you understand that?" Reid lay down on the bed and put his hands behind his head.

"Yeah, I get that, but I promised myself that I'm not letting you out of my sight. Ever!"

"Very funny Morgan… Now can you please leave so I can sleep?" Reid closed his eyes and wiggled his body like a cat trying to get comfortable on a cushion.

"No… Every time I turn my back or let you out of my sight, something bad happens to you."

Reid toed off his dirty Converse shoes and let them fall to the floor. "You're completely exaggerating."

"You ran into a room with a weapon of mass destruction broken open on the floor. Do you have a death wish?"

"No!"

"You could've fooled me. It's like you don't care whether you live or die."

"That's not true!"

"Then why do you leap into life threatening jeopardy before you look."

Reid sat up and glared at his friend. "I saw Dr. Nichols on the floor. I thought I could help him."

"You knew what we were looking for. You should've waited till the house was declared safe."

"Morgan…"

"Don't use that tone with me. I'll put you in line after Garcia to take you over my knee if you don't start caring about your life."

"I care about my life…"

"No you don't!" Morgan shouted over him, "If you can't care about yourself, then at least think about the rest of us. We care about you, man! We don't want you to end up lying on your back in a wooden shack, dead because you got on the wrong end of an insane unsub. Do you know how badly you scared all of us?"

Reid leaned back against the headboard and hugged one of his pillows. "I didn't think about it."

"That's why I'm talking to you now. You have to start looking before you jump into something that could kill you."

"Alright Morgan, I get it. I'll be a good boy."

He crossed his heart like a kid on the playground.

"I'm serious Spencer."

"You must be if you're using my first name, Derek!"

"I'm not trying to be funny. I will whip your butt if you don't watch yourself from now on."

Reid put the pillow back on the bed and scooted forward to the edge. "Alright, I'll be more careful. I promise."

"I hear your words, but I don't believe the emotion behind it."

"What am I supposed to say?

"Don't say it! Be it! Take care of yourself."

"I get it. Will you get out of here now? I'm really tired."

"Okay, I'll leave you alone. Next time…"

"I said I get it!"

Morgan stood up and went to the door. "Oh… by the way, I saw how Dr. Kimura was checking you out."

Reid went scarlet. "She wasn't checking me out!"

"Really, then why are you blushing?"

"Morgan…"

"I'm just saying you should call her. You might be surprised."

Reid grabbed one of his pillows and threw it at Morgan who ducked out of the room. "I'm leaving," The older man yelled.

Reid listened for the door to close before taking off his shirt, cords and tie. His bed was very nice to lie in after the hospital. He closed his eyes. Dr. Kimura was out of his league in the real world, but he could dream all he wanted.

Anyway, Morgan was wrong. He could do his job without getting into mortal jeopardy. It wouldn't be hard. He'd show them all that he could stay out of trouble. No problem…
