June 8th, 2010 Jemma Devin

Benson and Stabler,

I'm Jemma Devin. How old am I? Fourteen. Let me tell you what happened to me.

Do you know what's worse than being taken advantage of by a stranger? Being taken advantage of by a family member.

Yeah, I know who did it. My brother did. Zach, that's his name, but you won't find anything on him. He's to smart for that. And to rich.

I'll be lucky if this letter reaches you at Special Victims headquarters, but I can try.

I was nine when he first came into my room when my parents weren't home. I was in bed, reading. I heard him open. I turned to him, seeing his silhouette in the doorway. "Zachy?" I asked, sitting up. He walked towards me and sat on the end of my bed. He watched me for a moment, then reached out and touched my hair, my face.

"Jem, if you tell on me, I'll kill you." He muttered. He grabbed my hair, making me cry out. Then he pulled me towards him, so I was on my back with my head at the end of the bed. He swung his leg over, so he was straddling me. He pressed him mouth to mine, forcing his tongue into my mouth. I struggled, trying to get away from him. He pulled my hair above my head with his right hand and pulled my sweat pants and underwear down with the other. I whimpered as he pulled down his own pants. He was still forcing me to kiss .him. Then his left hand slipped under my loose nightshirt, and he was inside of me. I had to close my eyes so I wouldn't cry, shutting out what was happening.

It seemed like hours later when he left. I was crying when my parents got home.

That was years ago and I'm older now. So is he, though. He's twenty-three now and works as a substitute English professor. And it's not like he can't get a girlfriend, he chooses not too. He's threatened to kill me before, but I don't think he will anymore. He needs someone to always be there to love him. And I was the best choice.

If I'm dead before this gets to you, please, find him before he gets another girl.

Olivia looked up from the single sheet of paper. "Jemma Devin… I know that name." Olivia looked at Eliot.

"Her obituary was in the paper yesterday." Eliot said quietly.
