This girl has a small problem,

A certain disability

"Incase you've forgotted, Twinkle Toes, I'm blind and can't feel any vibrations up on Appas back, so there is no way I could see your Sokka impersonation!"

"Uh...sorry Toph, I forgot" muttered an embarrassed air bender.

Yet though she's blind, her world is black

There are many things that she can see

Toph lent down, placing her hand fully on the ground. She felt...Katara...and...Zuko? They were fighting about something or other. Yes she thought, they definintly love eachother. Her smile faltered. What about him?

She sees the way she looks at him,

With tender love and care

Toph was sitting next to Katara, and she continually felt Katara glance toward a certain fire bending outcast. She sighed. How clueless were they?

She sees the way he holds her tight,

And gently strokes her hair

Toph snuck out from her rock tent in the middle of the night after feeling some unfamiliar vibrations. Cat-like, she crept toward the main camp, where the campfire was situated. She came closer, knelt to the ground and pressed her hand firmly against it. She could feel Katara and Zuko, close to eachother, possibly cuddling, sitting around the dying fire.

A boy with a scar, on his face and life,

He just wanted a second chance

Toph stood perfectly still. She could hear Zuko, whispering about his life to Katara at one of their late night cuddling sessions. He talked about how his father had scarred his face, and his life. He must trust her alot, she thought.

A girl with grace and beauty,

In every step and prance

Katara walked past, as graceful as a swan. As she walked past Zuko, no one but Toph noticed that she quickly and gently squeezed his arm.

Yet through their love they cannot see,

The pain they cause a young boy

Aang sat under a tree, eyes downcast and head bent. His arms were wrapped around his knees. So he finally noticed thought Toph sadly, as she watched her best frind pick at a clump of grass.

Who hides his hurt and rejection

Under a smile of joy

"Are you okay Aang?" Sokka asked as he, Aang and Toph were geathering firewood.

"Yeah, fine" Aang answered with a large smile. Sokka seemed to buy it, and kept looking for wood, but Toph knew he was lying and kept studying him.

But the blind girl is no fool,

She can see through his mask

"Are you okay Twinkles?" Asked a concerned Toph.

"Yeah, of course I am."

She frowns. "Don't try to lie to me, Twinkles. I know you're miserable about the Zuko-Katara thing."

She comforts him, holds him tight,

Although he did not ask

She sat down next to him, and did a very un-Toph like thing. She put her arms around him and held him in a warm embrace. "It'll be okay" she muttered. "There are other fish in the sea."

He smiled, a true smile for the first time in days. "Thanks Toph." He brushed his lips lightly against her cheek, before getting up and walking away, leaving a blushing Toph wondering what the hell just happened.

This, like most of my stories, popped into my head after I wrote the poem. Yup, flame me, I think its a bit sappy, or praise me, I think it's ok-ish.
