It has been 1000 years since the adventures of the chosen one Yuma and his alien companion astral, and 2000 since Yugi Muto's era. Since then, Duel Monsters has become more popular and more intense. Many of the cards you know and love, however, have vanished, and replaced with new ones...
The millenium items are gone, as has Exodia, the unstoppable monster.
Our story focuses on the adventure of Alex, Liberty, Jonathan, Garrett, Taylor, Morgan, and Courtney. Lets delve deeper, shall we?
"Hey, come on doofis!" yells Liberty as she waits in line behind her best friend, Alex, to buy a packet of Duel Monsters cards.
"Wait in line Libby!" he retorted, as he grabbed the second to last pack out of the box.
"Thank you." he said to the shopkeeper.
When he opened it he found the following cards, all of which were new.
Monster card: Robo Cat
Monster card: Swordsman Lady
Monster card: Little Flame Boy
Spell card: Destructive Whirlwind
Spell card: Bat Sheild
Spell card: Flame Symbol
Trap card: Water Bucket
Trap card: Harmless Noose
Trap card: Dungeon of Horrors
Extra card: "Go to the library to find your destiny"
"What?" Alex questions at the sight of the text.
"You got it too?" Liberty asked to Alex's surprise.
Alex nods, and they head to the library. After looking at all the books, they found nothing, until Alex (bored out of his freaking mind) sighs and leans against a porcelain statue of a Kuriboh, no longer an existant card, and suddenly falls down stairs.
Liberty shreiks and follows him down. When Alex wakes up, he sees Liberty staring at a map.
"Hey Libby, what'cha starin' at?" Alex akwardly asks.
As Liberty points to a map, Alex notices it has not one, but seven different X's on it. As he looks at the back he sees the words: "Find the five others who were in line with you".
As Liberty and Alex recall those also in line were Garrett, Alex's little brother, Jonathan, Liberty's brother, Courtney, Alex's cousin, and Morgan and Taylor, both of their friends.
They run to Alex's house and call Taylor, Morgan, and Courtney, and grab Jonathan and Garrett, and set off on their quest.
