A white haired boy sits in his bedroom, sad, alone, in the eerie quietness that engulfs him. This frightened boy's name is Hakuo, Hakuo Yowane. He isn't scared of what most people are afraid of, nothing like sharks, or zombies, or any other stupid phobia; he's scared of himself and being alone.

Hakuo is a failure, a voyokaloid. He'll never be a vocaloid or even an utauloid. He'll forever be a software mistake, something vocaloid tossed to the side and wiped their hands clean off. He knows this, everyone knows this. His siblings try to cheer him up the best they can, and he'll pretend to be happy for their sake, but with them having to deal with being failures themselves, Hakuo is often on his own, alone in his room, drinking sake on the hope that it will give him the confidence he craves to face the world outside the voyokaloid house's front doors.

Laughing erupted from just outside his bedroom door disturbing his thoughts, followed by voices, one voice unmistakably familiar, and another Hakuo couldn't quite pin.

"Hold on I need to check on my brother," said one voice followed by a round of knocking on. Hakuo crept off his bed and opened his door to reveal his sister, Haku, and a girl with pinkish red hair, Teto Kasane.

Hakuo rubbed the sleepiness from his eyes and let out a little yarn. "Sorry," he spoke quietly.

"Why are you apologizing Hakuo-kun?" asked Teto.

Hakuo shrunk down, unable to know how to respond, Teto did that a lot, made Hakuo uncomfortable. He was almost positive she messed with him on purpose. With Hakuo at a lack of words Haku said, "He apologizes for everything, you know that Teto."

"Hey Hakuo, do you want to play a game with us?" asked Teto.

"Uhh? Oh umm, s-sure Teto-sama, if-if that's ok with H-Haku-sama," responded Hakuo in his quite manner.

"CHAN," said Teto.

"H-huh?"

"It's Teto-CHAN,"

"Oh, I-I I'm sorry Teto-sa, chan."

Teto smiled feeling accomplished, which made Hakuo red and only Haku knew why. Hakuo had a crush on the chimera, and he didn't even realize it himself.

They rest of the day the trio hung out. Hakuo, laughing softly and smiling slightly, he was happy and no longer alone, but engulfed in the laughter of his friends. The cheerful boy's name is Hakuo, Hakuo Yowane.
