This'll be my last one-shot (hopefully) for a while, cuz I've relised I've done heaps of them, and want to try and get a actual story going, m'kay? Some random one-shots may pop out though.

Toph was alot of things. She was a great earth bender, a friend, a teacher, a daughter and many others. But one of the most important things she was (to Aang atleast) was an angel.

True, Toph always wanted her feet to be firmly on the ground, and hated when they weren't. She never liked to fly on Appa or with Aang, because it made her truly blind. She yelled at anyone who tried to part her from her element (unless it couldn't be helped) and she needed something solid to stand on at all times.

But Toph, Toph just being herself, could make Aangs spirits soar, she could make his hopes ride high, and make his heart go over the clouds. She was always there, with her rough-around-the-edges kind of beauty, and her firm as stone attitude. She balanced Aang out. If she had not come, Aang thought, he would never get anywhere and always be goofing off.

She was the other half of him, the push behind the shove, the (dare he say it) cherry on his ice cream sundae, that made everything all the sweeter. True, she often worked him to the bone, but that was to get him to go. If she was soft and motherly like Katara, Aang would probably still be trying to make a pebble move. Toph gave praise lightly and rarely, so that Aang knew that when she did, she would mean it.

As iuf she had been conjured out of his thoughts, the earth bending angel came and sat down next to Aang.

"What'cha doin, Twinkles?"

"Nothing" Aang replied, a grin on his face.

"So, your hobbies are, fighting the fire nation, training, making peace, and staring into nothing-ness?"

"Pretty much."

"Your weird."

"Toph!" Aang protested. "I'm not wei-"

"Shh" she said, putting her finger on his mouth, grinning evily. "I like weird." She then leaned down, as if to kiss him. Aang closed his eyes, waiting, when...

"BLEH! YUCK! TOOOOOOOOOOOOOPH!"

Instead of a kiss, he'd received a handful of dirt, right in the kisser.

"Haha, Twinkles, guess you missed out this time!"

He watched as she ran away, laughing like a maniac, the sun shining on her, illuminating her features.

Yes, Aang thought. She truly is an angel.

Hmmmm... I always seem to end my one-shots like this...strange. Ah well, I thought of this while I was drawing a picture of an angel, that was turning out really well (worthy to be hung on my wall, even) and I thought, What if Toph were an angel? Nah, she hates leaving the ground. And here you go!
