Kanaya sat up in bed when she heard a cough. "Rose, are you alright, darling?" The troll turned to Rose, concern clear on her slim face.
Rose cleared her throat painfully and sniffled. "Yes, dear, just a cold." Her voice was strange and raspy, and she coughed again, wincing. She looked at Kanaya with a shrug, noticing the troll's concern. "I'll be alright in a few days."
"Would you like some tea? Perhaps I could go make us some and we could watch a movie in the living area." Kanaya smiled warmly, pecking her matesprit on the forehead lightly, noticing how much warmer it was than normal. The girl pulled the covers off of herself, swinging her legs around so she could get up.
"Mmm, as long as we have plenty of pillows." Rose smirked lightly as she shifted, pulling the covers up around her where Kanaya had disturbed them.
Kanaya chuckled, her smile growing. "That can be arranged. Give me a few moments and I'll have everything set up." She opened the door and walked to the kitchen. After setting up the tea to steep, the slender troll whisked off to the living room, where she set up the couch with pillows and a blanket. Once she was finished with that, she picked a movie and put it in, then returned to the bedroom where Rose had dozed off again.
"I am here to fetch you, my fair maiden." She grinned as she gently picked Rose up out of bed and carried her bridal-style to the living room. Kanaya chuckled softly when Rose let out a squeak of surprise at being set down, then left for the kitchen once more, returning with a tray containing two cups of herbal tea. "I made your favorite kind, though I'm not certain you will be able to taste it that well." Kanaya frowned slightly, but shrugged, setting the tray down on the coffee table and laying on the couch beside Rose, wrapping the blanket around them.
Rose smiled as Kanaya wrapped the blanket around them, cuddling up to her alien lover with a contented expression. "Thank you, Kanaya. I very much appreciate the thought, and that's what counts." She looked up at the TV. "What movie did you choose?"
"I just recently got it after perusing a summary on the internet." She smiled, adding, "It's called Twilight."
Rose started laughing. "Kanaya…"
The troll blinked, confused. "Did I do something wrong, Rose?" She was very perplexed, it seemed like a perfectly normal vampire movie when she had bought it…
Rose shook her head. "Nevermind. Let's watch it." She smiled as they watched the movie, sipping tea and critiquing, then fell asleep on the couch together.
