A/N: Here's a bit of information that you might need to know about Silvia Pines.

Filbrick Pines sat in the waiting room of the Glass Shard Beach hospital. His beloved wife Melissa was pregnant, and now the child was about to be born. The married couple already decided with the names: Stan if it was a boy, and Silvia if it was a girl.

Some time later, a doctor entered the room. "Mr. Pines, the child has been born," he said.

The doctor brought Filbrick to a hospital room. There, Melissa was recovering from the birth. However, the child was not in her arms. "Where's our special bundle of joy?" Filbrick asked.

"Oh, she's over there," Melissa said, pointing to a nearby incubator. "Turns out all that smokin' I did kinda damaged her internal organs. Prob'bly has permanent cancer or somethin'."

Filbrick walked over to the incubator to see the sleeping baby. "She's perfect," he said, smiling softly. "Absolutely perfect."

"You sure?" Melissa asked. "The doctor's been sayin' she might not make it to her eighteenth birthday."

"But Melissa, look at her," Filbrick said. "This girl, despite her illness, is absolutely beautiful."

"What 'bout when she gets older?" Melissa asked.

"Simple," Filbrick said. "We won't tell her."

"What?!" Melissa asked. "Filbrick, darlin', we can't not tell her about the cancer! She has to find out somehow!"

"Then we'll treat every day like it's her last," Filbrick decided. He leaned down so he could speak into the incubator's opening. "You're going to be alright, princess," he told the baby.

"Excuse me, Mrs. Pines," the doctor said. "You never told me what you wanted to name your new daughter."

"Easy," Melissa said. "Filbrick and I already decided on a name. It's gonna be Silvia Faith Pines."

Ever since that day, Filbrick and Melissa took good care of Silvia. Due to her damaged organs, the young girl's voice was unusually high-pitched, almost like Snow White's voice. But it didn't matter to Filbrick and Melissa, for they always treated her like a princess.

As Silvia got older, Filbrick was told that eventually she would have to undergo chemotherapy, otherwise the cancer would get worse. But by then Silvia had become proud of her beautiful brown hair. Knowing that a side affect of chemotherapy was severe hair loss, Filbrick refused to let her take it, with Melissa agreeing.

So the proud parents continued to spoil their daughter. Thankfully Silvia loved watching happy princess movies, so she learned how to be very kind to others by copying the princesses' carefree and positive behavior. She always wore costumed princess dresses and little plastic shoes, and she kept her hair long and curly.

Yet despite her princess mindset, it seemed Silvia had no plans to grow up. It seemed she was stuck in her childhood, much to the concern to Filbrick and Melissa. Even when she befriended two kids named Franny McGucket and Daniel Noble, Silvia still acted like a princess.

But then one day, everything changed when a mysterious woman came, someone that would change Silvia's life forever...
