Roxas sighed and looked at the computer screen, hating himself for understanding the whole situation perfectly, but hopelessly begging Axel to stop anyway. To stop the drinking and the smoking. It was rather hypocritical actually, because Roxas knew deep down that he would probably end up doing the exact same thing when he left. 'Only six months left, then you'll be free...' He stopped himself from letting that thought go any further. 'Your future is fucked anyway.'

"I understand that, but be careful. Please?"
"Why? That's no fun."
'Because it totally scares me when you do this Axel. I hate seeing you like this, and I don't want to lose you. It would kill me.'
"Yeah...I guess. But still..please?"

Roxas felt like screaming, like getting Axel and shaking him, 'that's not what i meant!'
But Axel was stubborn, and so there was no point arguing with him about this.
"Yeah..okay."

They all left about the same time. Axel, Riku, and Sora. They left the island, and Roxas was left behind. Sora off to boarding school. Riku and Axel off to University, leaving Roxas all alone.
Sure, he had Hayner, Pence, and Olette, but he was slowly losing touch with them, and after next year he wouldn't see them again anyway.
All of my regret

But I cannot forget
the way I feel right now
Axel would never know how much he meant to Roxas. Sure, Roxas told him, but he didn't tell him the full truth of it. Not that Axel told Roxas how much Roxas meant to him either, but there were times every so often, when Axel would let his guard down, mostly while drunk, and he would tell Roxas that he meant alot to him, it wasn't very often, but it did happen, and for Roxas, that was enough.

Roxas looked at the screen again, he didn't know what else to say. He wanted to tell Axel to be careful, and to please please don't do anything stupid, or ideally, to beg him to stop the drinking. To tell him how much he honestly meant to him, and how if Axel wasn't there, or if something happened to him, Roxas would not be around for long. But instead, he sent a "goodnight, and please be careful" message, and logged off, desperately hoping that Axel would be okay.
