Preface
The American Wizarding Academy is the American Equivelant to Hogwarts. Like Hogwarts,the students of the AWA are grouped, kind of like houses, but we call them colonies, and there are also four of them of them. Due to the history of America, the founders of the school thought it to be a more appropriate name. The colonies are not named after the founders each chose a word that best described their personality and that became the name of their colony. They are, Olivia Martinberg, founder of the Sunancat's, George Lyrex, founder of the velocity's,
Dwight Reynard, you took the liberty of naming his colony after himself, they are the Reynards, and Elizabeth Harvey, founder of the Serengeti's. The Sunancats are known for being very reliable, giving, smart, and loyal people, that get angry when they are not appreciated enough, there mascot is the a housecat. The people of the Velocity colony are known to be clever, smart, and spur of the moment type of people, their mascot is a Leopard. The Serengeti's may not be the brightest of the whole bunch, but they are very calm, and patient, not really caring what people think of them, their mascot is a frog. Lastly, we have the Reynards, whose mascot is a fox, they are known to be cunning, sly and quick witted. Although some good wizards have come from this house, not many do. The Reynard's tend to be a little crued, and judgmental, the "bad" kids of the school. I guess you could say we have adapted to muggle values a little bit, although theirs mainly evolve around sports and beer. Our school has a large emphasize on the arts, we have art contests, and music contests, as well as dance and ballet. Sometimes we compete, but we go by St. Lucy's School of the Arts, and that is what everyone thinks we are. They believe we are a very prestigious school that focuses on Academics and students must get an invite to join, in a way that's true. Of course we have quidditch, but that is about the only sport played around here. At this point, you may be wondering who I am, I'm Riley Hamilton, and 5th year and I am in the Velocity house. I am 2nd in my class, 1st is my very best friend, Sarah Lenard. Anyways, I am a fairly small girl, tall, but thin, with long curly blonde hair, and very average features which are commonly mistaken for beauty. I spend most of my time with my friends, Sarah, her boyfriend Jared Fox , Crystal Sparks, Remy Carpenter, and my boyfriend Ryan Hawke.
