His sea
Sea is beautiful. Nanase always thought that. This big body of water always seemed to be the most beautiful thing in the world to him. Sea could be quiet, or yelling, angry or sad. Sea could be red or dark, dull or sparkling. Sea was perfection to Nanase.
His friends always joked on how he was « in love » with the sea. How could that be. Sure, he loved sea but he couldn't possibly be in love with it... right ?
Nanase liked to swim in the middle of the sea. He also liked to float on the water and watch the sky. He liked to watch the sun set on the water, being swallowed by the sea, drowning in deep blue, he liked to see the light being reflected on the surface. He liked to watch the sea as she climbs up the sand and as she retires. He liked listening to the sound of waves going back and forth, assaulting the beach, caressing it and releasing it.
Nanase liked all that was the sea, the salted water, the sun, the sand, the ice creams and the fishes. He particularly liked the fishes. He liked swimming with them and he liked chasing them. He never catch any, and he never tried.
But what Nanase liked the most about the sea is its silence. He would immerse his head just to hide from the outside sounds. He always thought air was too loud. Sea brought him the peacefulness he wanted. While in the sea, he was finally alone in the silent dark.
He just liked the sea. He liked the silence of the sea. He liked the relaxing feeling of the sea. It was his sea.
But suddenly all that changed.
And his sea became his Makoto.
