The Cyber division was working on a new case. A pirat had taken control of the fire alarm of several important libraries. There was inside of it old and precious documents. If it burned, no one could duplicate it and the world would suffer the loss of such important records.
Avery and Raven were working hard on preventing the owners of the places which were in danger of being destroyed. D.B Russell was at his laboratory, searching a way to stop the fire it it began. The others members of the team were on their computers, feverishly taping codes and other stuff that D.B didn't understand yet.
He looked at the two women who where fighting verbally against the owners of the libraries who didn't trust them when they told them that their library was going to burn. The team had let the two feminine members take care of that part of the mission because the owners wouldn't have trust men.
Women were more trustworthy sometimes, and able to stay calm in all the circumstances. Well...Maybe not ALL the circumstances, because D.B could see that Raven was beginning to be a little annoyed by the man who was talking to her.
Avery seemed to be in the same state of nerves. But she was good at hiding it. Only her eyes showed her feelings. And D.B knew her a little now. Little gestures like pushing her hair behind her ears or taping her fingers on the table almost nervously said to him that she was a bit angry too.
She was playing with the wire of her headphones. She ended the conversation. She had apparently succeded in convincing the man. She sighed. Raven had finish too.
Avery called all the team in the operation room. D.B rushed out of his lab. Avery split the team in three smaller teams. Raven was with Brody, Kummy with Elija and Avery teamed with him. Each little team took a library. The hacker has told that he was going to attack only one of the three libraries. He had found the way to desactivate the fire alarm. And he was going to set the fire in one of them. Avery got in D.B's car. She turned her head towards him :
Ready ? O.K. Here we go.
D.B started the car. They arrived soon to the library. Avery exited the car. All was silent. She entered the library. D.B was examining the outside, searching for the hacker. Suddently, a sream scared the hell of him. It was Avery's voice. D.B ran in the library, smelling a burning scent already. The hacker had surely already left the place. D.B had to find Avery. He crossed a few rooms before finding a cllosed door. He pushed the door which wasn't hermetic, it was an old door.
Avery was on the floor of this room, the flammes were all around her. She seemed to have been knock down by the hacker. D.B ran to her, taking her body in his arms. She was awake but too weak to run. And the fire was gaining ground quickly. D.B ran out of the building. Then he called the others members of the team. He tried to activate the fire alarm manually. But the hacker had blocker it. Firefighters arrived and they turned of the fire. Avery was beside D.B, still a little dizzy because of the smoke. She coughed. He asked her :
Are you all right ? What happened ? You saw the hacker ?
I'm fine. I was knocked from behind. I didn't see my agressor.
Don' worry we'll catch him. And the books were saved !

He pulled her in a bear hug.
It's nothing, I do it all the time !
He was smiling. She burst out laughing. It was good to see her laugh. D.B felt happy. He had been about to lost her.
