A/N: A Wormtail fic? From me, of all people? Yes, yes, odd as it seems, I've decided to broaden my horizons and take up writing about this poor, misunderstood, tormented creature.

They were always tossing me aside like I wasn't a real person. I don't think they ever really considered me a true friend of theirs, least of all Sirius.
My theory? 'Friends' are only a once in a while thing. They aren't meant to be permanent and they aren't meant to last forever.
I'm tired of people calling me a coward. I sided with the dark lord because the others were never my friends. They never really cared about me, and I never really cared about them. At least the feelings were mutual.
I sided with the dark lord because he was powerful and he could give me everything I wanted. I destroyed James Potter because he spent out seven years of schooling gradually wearing me down and destroying me.
Things wouldn't be different if I went back and did it all over again. I'd kill James thousands of times if I had to.
