Disclaimer: Hellsing belongs to whoever made it, and I just borrowed a few characters for this senseless… thing. :]

A/N: It's Alucard and some other female from the series. It could be anyone, really. XD

Bloody Boredom

He'd always a flair for being dramatic, she'd noticed. He'd always turn small things into something big- it often was amazing.

A simple fireworks show?

He turned into a mass of hysteria- screams rent the air, lightning cracked the sky with blades of piercing light, blood soaked into the thirsty and uncaring ground. Shadows wrapped themselves around bodies and ate the flesh away. Eyes, bloodshot and angry, made knees crumple and hearts tremble.

He'd told her afterwards that boredom does odd things to a vampire.
She'd laughed and told him to stop being such a "Drama King".

Besides, they'd all been ghouls and undead freaks. She didn't mind.

He always did have the need to be dramatic.

There was so much confusion during the final battle- she couldn't see, couldn't hear, couldn't think.
He'd protected her from the one thing that could kill him.
He took the hit, and kept her safe.

It went straight through the place his heart had once been.

She can still remember the moments he was dying.
How could she have thought there was immortality?

There wasn't- not in the end.
He'd known, all along. But he hadn't told her.

At least he'd made her smile, even as he died.
That was enough for the both of them, really.

She wasn't sure if she'd expected more.
