The Great Pokemon Birthday Disaster

It all started that one day
A day not long ago
The Pokemon were busy
A birthday party they would throw
For the dragon who was tough.
There were presents to be bought
And many cakes to bake
Invitations to be sent
"How long would they take?"
Asked little Jigglypuff.
So when the big day came around
All the Pokemon shouted with glee
At last they'd have the party
Oh what a sight to see it would be
The last and first party ever.
In celebration of Charizard
In his fifth year of being
Everyone came to the party
And they all began to sing
"Happy birthday, Char!"
And yet think of danger they did never.
So as the last note was held
And the joyous singing ceased
Char made a little wish
Before they began the birthday feast
And then the fatal moment came.
He huffed and puffed
And filled his cheeks with air
To blow out his candles
But did not take enough care
For they stayed lit all the same.
Now the candles had been set ablaze
And so had the table
The Pokemon were crazed
And anyone who was able
Ran away fast as they could.
Some scampered, some climbed
Some flew and some swam
The room was in flames
The fun had been banned.
Pika's blue birthday hat
Had been enflamed as well
And poor Bulbasaur
Had been crisped right to his tail.
Now what were the helpless creatures to do?
Their sunny little world was now dark too.
Jigglypuff's green bow
Had now been browned
And in a moment of despair
Oddish buried into the ground.
Pichu wore her protective goggles
And tried its best to search for help
Right down to the end
With its last desperate little yelp.
Their pineapple drinks with the umbrella straws
Their finger sandwiches and chocolate tins
Were no longer edible
Oh when would this fire end?
The streamers and balloons had all seen better days
The hats and whistles were covered in black haze
But at long last
After almost all hope was gone
Ash and his trainer friends
Began to extinguish the fire on the lawn.
Ash's favorite pink flamingos
Were now an ashy grey
And his mother's flower boxes
Could no longer stay.
The house was left smoldering
All the Pokemon had a moment of silence
Staring at the ashes were where it once stood
Then all eyes turned to the cause of the violence.
Char's cheeks began to redden
Hiding was his desire
Then suddenly everyone began laughing
Of course he'd set the cake on fire!
So whose idea had it been
To give a dragon a party and a cake?
Who could have been so dumb
And how many more fires would it take?
And suddenly Pikachu piped up.
And she whispered something into Char's ear
Oh who could it be?
It was her Poke Master!
So everyone turned and laughed out loud
At Ash in his stupidity
The cause of the great Pokemon Birthday Disaster.
