-=Liar=-

It's like a disease.

That raw, sickening word twists up and writhes around in your belly, clawing at your insides with a ferocity you've never felt before.

You chew it up and spit it out, but the taste of that nasty word still lingers between your crooked teeth.

Liar.

That solitary truth is sickening as you realize what you've done. The Dark Lord won't be pleased, to say the least, and you're certain that this was your final act of betrayal.

You tell yourself your death won't be in vain, and only one thing matters now.

The boy will live.

A/N: Just to clear up some confusion, this does not refer to a specific point in the series. Snape is just musing about how his dishonesty to Voldemort gives Harry a greater chance of being successful and staying alive.
