This little tidbit of fun was inspired by Sintendo's "Lighter Side" chapters and by a writing assignment for school. It was a lot of fun to write. And, like the other author's say... I'm only borrowing the characters! Yu Aida is the proper author of "Gunslinger Girls" and ADV Manga is the U.S. publisher, so the rights belong to them...

Triela's Fault -- (Claes' PoV)
I should have known it was going to be one of those days. I'd come back early from the lab and had settled down on my bunk bed with a new book, Asimov's Chronology of Science & Discovery. It's my usual place actually, especially when my roommate, Triela comes in from her day of work. At first, it wasn't anything big. I can usually ignore her when I'm deep in a book, but somehow it wasn't working today. She'd actually dropped her gun-case on the floor instead of leaning it against the wall like she usually does; that was my first clue. I tried to ignore it as I delved deeper into my book, but then it was the foot tapping.
Tap. Tap. Tap. It wouldn't be so bad if she'd just take off her leather boots. Her socks would be so much quieter and I could continue to read in peace. But no, she doesn't stop. Tap. Tap. Tap. O.K, this is getting annoying. Something must have happened while she was out with Hillshire. I know they were just supposed to be trailing some terrorist member from the Republican Faction in the north section of Rome, but she's wired. Tap. Tap. Tap.
I don't quite slam my book shut, but I come close as I place my bookmark and shove the book against the wall. I've got to see what is up with Triela. I lean over the edge of the bed. I can see her sitting there, staring across the room, her foot tapping still. I shove more of my body over until I can see her eyes. I glare my annoyance at being interrupted. I'm not sure if it works, so I resort to words….
And she goes off about her bears. I can't believe it. I glance over at the bears, the whole row of them, gifts from Hillshire and that one Mafia guy. They just look like regular bears to me. I think my roommate has gone off the deep end. I wonder if I should call Hillshire and have him deal with her weird behavior, but then again, maybe he did something to her during the day. Tap. Tap. Tap. She won't stop. I look at the bears again a little bit longer….
Hey… wait a sec… did that one? ... No… it's my imagination… I'm sure of it…
"Damn you, Triela…"
