"Who did he think he was, coming in here and taking over my department like he's always been here?" Caroline fumed as she walked around the ward.
"I have trying to get this promotion for months and I am beaten by a rich playboy doctor who probably earns more in a year than Ill earn in a lifetime and now he's taken away my promotion"
As she is fuming the object of her disgust walks up to her, Klaus Mikaelson, the paparazzo's favourite rich kid because of his family's wealth.
"Nurse I need this bed cleaned and ready for patients now!"
"Excuse me, I..."
"I need it done we have patients coming in 10mins. It was just rung through by the paramedics."
"Mr Mikaelson, excuse me but how dare you assume that just because I am female means I am a nurse!"
Klaus takes a second look at the young woman he was speaking to and automatically regretted his words. So this was the highly qualified Caroline Forbes that he beat out for the position. He had overheard some conversations about how she had been working towards this promotion for ages and was beyond pissed with the board for their decision. She didn't look like the hard, work devoted person people always said she was.
In fact she was a very attractive woman with just the right curves. He shook that thought out of his head and took a step back.
"I apologise for my mistake, I thought you were a nurse"
"So the scrubs didn't give it away, or the stethoscope around my neck?"
"I said I was sorry alright. Now can we please move on? My name is Klaus..."
" ..Mikaelson, I know who you are I am Caroline Forbes and this was my department until 9am this morning."
"I'm sorry that you were unhappy with the board's decision but they must have decided they needed fresh blood in the department. Can we at least attempt to make this work for the both of us? I am having drinks tonight at Spoondog Pub on Main Street. Will you come?"
"I will try to work with you but I probably won't be able to make it tonight I am afraid I have other plans."
"A date?"
"Why yes in fact I do, not that it's any of your business. Well I have to make my rounds, See you around."
As she walked away Klaus watched her and was momentarily stunned by her very being. He had never met anybody like her and he had met a lot of people. She was a hell of an attractive woman and was as career orientated as he was, despite what the paparazzi thought.
