Glimmered

She glimmered in the light

Her light skin shining so bright

She played sexy for the audience

Wanted to let them know

That it was her show

The games began

She killed two

One boy

And

One girl

The game was hers

For as long as she lived

She was to be made queen

The queen of the games

But her death was upon her

Like a crow upon a worm

They found a girl on the first night

They killed her

All she wanted to do was win

But Glimmer

Glimmer was different

She wanted to be loved

Loved by her family of victors

But on that one night

That dreadful night

They found her

The girl on fire

They tried to get her

But she was to high

To high in the tree

Glimmer took first watch

Only to be awoken by her own screams

The stings hurt

The tracker jackets stung her

They stung her everywhere

As tears glimmered

In her beautiful glimmering eyes

The tears lid down her face

She let herself slip away

Away from the pain

She died that day

But little did she know

That when she died

Her parent's hearts

Melted away
