How did this happen? To me of all people. Dougie Poynter, one of britins best womanisers has fallen in love. With his best friend to be precise. He looked over at Ashley and couldn't help but notice how her Black lacy dress showed her curves perfectly. Her blue eyes could light up the room in his eyes. He smiled to himself before walking over to her nervously.

"Hey Ash," She looked up to see a smiling Dougie, she jumped up to hug him, "how're you?" Dougie could tell she was happy with the party that had been trhown for her 20th birthday.

"I'm fine, i'm still shocked you all did this for me," She smiled genuinly.

"It's what best friends are for," It killed him to say that but he couldn't help but think she'd turn him down if he told her he loved her. She was beautiful and everyone knew it. She was recently picked as most fanciable female in a magazine over all the famous females out there. My paper heart by all american rejects came on and Dougie could relate to it, Especially this verse.

Dougie got up and ran outside, he really wanted to stand on the rooftops and shout out his love for Ashley but what he'd just seen broke him in too, Ashley and her current boyfriend Jamie kissing. He couldn't sit in a room with them without wanting to cry.

Ashley noticed Dougie had gone, it felt like there was a pit in her stomach. When she hugged him before she felt something, nothing she had ever felt with Jamie but she just pushed it to the back of her mind. Ashley saw Jamie with another girl then he kissed her. She got up shocked and walked over to Danny to see if he had seen Dougie.

"Um i'm sure i just saw him run outside, if your in luck he might still be there if not just phone him, he will be around," Was his reply, she went outside and couldn't see him anywhere. Pulling out her phone she dialled a number she had used many a times before.

"C'mon Doug pick up the darn phone," It was turned off. Ashley started to worry. She heard a loud scream then it seemed like a car had crashed. Ashley ran down the street and saw Dougie on the road, he'd been ran over. The driver drove off and left him there. She ran over to him crying. Suddenly Ashley realised what it was she felt earlier, she had fallen for Dougie.

"Dougie, you can't die I need you, I love you," That was the last words Dougie heard before he fell unconcious.

Waking up Dougie took in his surroundings, he looked to his side and saw Ashley. She was curled up on the hospital bed next to him. She moved then awoke, hugging him close when she noticed he was awake. Dougie looked at her confused when he saw she had a single Buttercup in her hand.

"Oh when the ambulance took you i'd sat on the grass and picked it, I kept it for luck hoping you'd wake up," He smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Um, Ashley before I fell unconcious I'm sure I remember you saying something," Ashley looked at him worried and nervous, her heartbeat was getting faster.

"Umm, Dougie, I don't know how to say this but when I found you I found out something about my feeling for you, Dougie i've fallen for you and hard I know this might ruin..." Ashley was cut off by Dougie pressing his lips against hers, at first shocked Ashley didn't respond but then she kissed him back. After what seemed like forever they pulled apart for air.

"Ashley i've wanted to tell you for so long how much you mean to me, and now I can, I love you always have and always will," They kissed again and both fell asleep on the hospital bed exausted from the nights events.
