Spoiler : Before the end of season 1, obviously (unless they decide to revive Ashley sometimes soon, which I soooo hope) though there is a hint of that last appearance of hers.

Author Note : English is still not my native language.

I've had this idea while browsing through a site of unusual wedding dresses (gothic and victorian-style ones) itself found while browsing for an appropriate web-site host. This is totally boring, isn't it?

Oh, and this is just humor, especially Magnus' line (I laughed at my own stupidity while writing it, but hope you'll enjoy it :)

Oh God, that was the worst piece of clothing she had ever had to try on. Ever!

Ashley sighed. Honestly, why on Earth had she agreed to take part in her mother's celebration of Halloween? Who actually planned a Halloween party in Victorian-style dresses anyway? Okay, it was freaky to put on, but, seriously?

She sighed again at the petticoat, and everything that just wouldn't fit her anyway. As she was about to give up, and try to sneak out after having changed, her mother entered her room. She reacted two different ways at the same time. First, her mouth gaped, she couldn't recall having seen her mother in that kind of dress, ever, not even in the oldest pictures she had seen. Simultaneously, she shot an helpless glance at the door in one last hope to get out of the room unnoticed.

The good side of things was, their probably wasn't anyone else on Earth, even, and especially among abnormals, who could help her out, or actually in, that dress. The bad ones, she, as her mother often underlined, didn't really have any manner of a lady, and she wasn't sure she could ever get out of that dress, at least not without help, once that corset was to be into place. How was one supposed to even breath, with that on?

Then, she remembered one important part of the 'deal', to dress in Victorian costumes. There was a question she just had to ask :

"Mum, when you said 'Victorian Costumes', did you have anything specific in mind for the boys?"

Her mother smiled secretively : "Just consider yourself lucky, young lady." And with that, she finally managed to lace the corset.

"Mum, how is one supposed to breath, in that outfit?"

"Now, you have part of the reason why women weren't supposed to speak much at the time. Oh, but that can come in handy if you are to stop a dispute between two gentlemen, if you faint, they will at least agree on one thing : one of them have to catch you. Well, it doesn't always work. This is the reason why the first thing a girl better learn is, how to fall."

And with that, she walked out of the room. Actually, that was more like sliding.

"Mum, I'm afraid." Ashley breathed out. "Don't leave me alone with that thing!"

*Fin*

But I may write a sequel on the 'boys' side, if it appears that this one is 'readable', from your POV ;)
