Prologue

The Stage is Set

In a dimly lit room, a childishly petite girl sat next to the window sill deep in thought. Behind her stood a young woman armed with a sword at her hip, hovering protectively near the girl. Wistfully the girl sighed turning her gaze upwards toward the brightly illuminated full moon. The pale white light washed over her small face, outlining the forlorn expression. Fluttering around her were waves of white blonde hair curtaining her still body. A small cough brought her out of silent musing. Tilting her head to face the source of the noise, causing the one gulity to grin sheepishly.

"Yes, Ophelia?"

"Miss, it's starting soon isn't it?" The woman asked her tone changing to match the young girls dreary mood. Running a hand over her loosely braided ebony hair, she too sighed deeply. Trailing her violet eyes to the moon outside the window, almost as an after thought she added, "To think it'd happen so soon..."

The young girl just shook her head. "So be it. We'll have to form a plan around what has occurred. It doesn't change our original goal, we still are seeking the boy." With those words lingering mysteriously, she hopped down from her perch on the window. Grazing past the woman she made her way to the huge oak doors.

But the woman spoke out just as she reached for the door handle."That boy has become very popular, eh?" She said almost to herself, her tone lined with amusement. "It'll serve to complicate things if he's this popular."

Slowly the strange girl turned to face the woman. In the rooms dark light her wide aquamarine eyes shimmered brightly in excitement. "It'll be much more entertaining to watch this delightful game play out. I'd rather be entertained then bored." Covering her mouth with her hand, a soft laugh drifted out of her lips. Under her hand those very same lips pulled back into a vindictive smirk. Turning her heel with a new spring in her step, she skipped though the open door closing it with a click.

Left behind in the gloomy room, the woman only starred at the closed door in annoyance. "Sheesh, you're quite the handful aren't you, Cécile?"

And there ya go! That's all I have so far, I'm coming up with ideas like crazy. I hope to write some more once the next chapter is released of D. Grayman, so that I can hopefully learn more about something important to this plot. :D

Until then, please tell me what you think! In the coming chapters plan to lead up to meeting Lavi, Allen, Kanda, and the gang.

Oh!
