Just a drabble, more depressing then my usual style. It is Alexander's advice to his son, kind of his apology among other things.... it is a one-shot BTW : Read and Review please.

To be a King

Is to overcome one's father

But is to build up one's mother

To be a King

Is to love one

But marry another

To be a King

Is to keep other's faith

But to lose your own on the way

To be a King

Is to rule all

But be a tyrant above all

To be a King

Is to lose the best

But keep the worst

To be a King

Is to be forever young

But to be aging quickly at the same time

To be a King

Is to live a fairytale

But to know it is really a nightmare

To be a King

Is to get to the end

And wish for the beginning

To turn back the clock

For all Kings are doomed

To die and become forgotten lords

Run away son

And be forever free

Free from me and my legacy
