He was doing it again. Jia Xu didn't know why it surprised him so much. The man was a complete flirt, taking his chance to chat up any attractive woman he laid his eyes on. He was positively insatiable. Not a quality Jia Xu admired in a "lover" so he had to wonder; why Guo Jia?
The other man had charm. Jia Xu would admit that out loud. Especially not to Guo Jia. The man would never shut up about a confession like that and he'd walk around all day with that infuriating grin on his face.
That, and he was really the only person who actually expressed interest in Jia Xu. Jia Xu was not, by any means, desperate or eager to find a lover. He'd been told countless times that he was an odd creature and if someone said they wanted to be with him, he'd be confused by the prospect, but then, Guo Jia was always a bit of a strange one.
He noticed differences in the way Guo Jia spoke to and acted around others and the way he spoke to and acted around Jia Xu himself. There was a light in his eyes when he talked to Jia Xu. A light that wasn't there when he spoke to others. There was also a noticeable purr in his voice when he spoke to Jia Xu. Almost like he was teasing him, but felt impassioned by his presence.
Strange creature, Jia Xu thought, watching as Guo Jia continued to speak with the woman with piercing grey eyes. He has charm, Jia Xu thought with a smirk, but he's not winning this one…
