Disclaimer: I don't own Queer as Folk. But if I did, you probably wouldn't notice.

A/N: I tried. I mean, I've always wanted Justin to know that Brian was actually there. So, I had to do it myself. Brian and Justin are fucking hard to write. I hope i managed to keep them somewhat in character.

Jennifer Taylor looked up as her son stormed into the room. She frowned at his expression, and quickly lay down the dishes she was cleaning.

"Honey, what's wrong? Did you and Brian fight again?" she asked, taking a place beside him on the couch. Justin Taylor ran a hand through his hair, tousling it, and cursed mentally. His mom had grown to know him a little too well. He just hoped she wouldn't become another Debbie.

"Yeah" he sighed "Sometimes I'll swear he's just an emotionless asshole"

"Honey, language" Jen said, unconsciously "So, what happened?"

"I should probably have gone to Daphne" Justin mumbled out loud.

"Oh, don't do that. I'll be happy to help you. Besides, it's nice to get to know a little more about your life". Justin shook his head, the guilt thing. His mother always used that on him when she wanted something.

"Mo-om" he groaned.

"I'm sorry, Justin. But what happened? You can tell me, I do have a little experience when it comes to relationships".

"Well, it's just that sometimes he just seems like he doesn't have any emotions, at all. Like he doesn't care about me"

"He does, Justin. Trust me. Some men just aren't as good to say what they feel, as others. He has probably been raised to know that men shouldn't be so sensitive and girly when it comes to emotions"

"Yeah, probably. But I mean, I don't think he even care. He didn't even come and visit me after I was bashed, for an example" Justin shook his head.

"He did, honey" Justin turned his head so fast, that it made you wonder if it didn't hurt.

"He did? But..how? When? Didn't you let him see me?" Jen smiled.

"He came every night. One of the nurses told me. Just came and looked at you, and sweared over whoever that made rules that you couldn't smoke on hospitals" Justin chuckled.

"I better get home, mom. Thanks." Jen smiled.

"Anytime, honey"

Justin opened the door to the loft, and stepped in. Brian lay on one of the leather chaiselongs, with some paper work in his hands.

"Back so soon, Sunshine?" he asked, without looking up.

"Yeah" Justin left his shoes at the door, and threw his jacket on the couch. He walked over to Brian, and leaned down and kissed him. Brian kissed him back.

"Did you miss me?" asked Justin. Brian looked at him.

"Sure". Justin smiled a little, and crouched beside Brian.

"What're you doing?"

"Paperwork. I have an annoying client" Brian said.

"Sucks"

"Mhmm"

They sat in silence for a while.

"Thanks" Brian looked at Justin.

"For what?"

Justin just shrugged, and Brian kissed him.

"I know ways you can express your gratefulness" Brian smirked. Justin grinned.

"Sure. Come on, paperwork can wait" Brian lay down the papers, and stood up, pulling Justin closer.

"Sure can"

Brian Kinney wasn't really an emotionless asshole. He was just a man who pretended to be an emotionless asshole.
