A/N: So, um, this fic literally came to me in a dream. Before today, I'd never shipped Tahsami at all, but now all of a sudden I ship it really. hard. (No pun intended.)

After he pulled out of her, Tahno rested for a moment, then rolled off the bed, landing gracefully on his feet. Ignoring the occasional drop of cum that still fell from his penis, he strode to the window and stared out. He ran his fingers through his hair, not absentmindedly but rather to straighten it out as best he could without a hairbrush. Even when he wasn't near a mirror, he was still exceedingly vain.

Asami smirked from the bed as she watched him. "Aren't you going to fall asleep?" she needled. "That's what boys usually do, I hear."

He turned to face her with a withering smile. "You should know by now that I'm not 'most boys,'" he purred. He reached one hand backward to his shoulder blade, as if casually stretching, but in reality posing so that his muscles would be most visible to his lover. "You know, Sato, I've been thinking."

Asami pulled herself up to a half-sitting position and raised an eyebrow skeptically. "I'm listening."

"You and I, we'd be stronger than ever if we … joined forces."

Asami frowned. "We've been joining forces for a year now."

Tahno gave a snakelike smile. "I mean officially. You know, in the eyes of the state and all that."

Asami's eyes widened. "Are you proposing marriage to me?" she asked coolly.

Tahno sighed dramatically as he dropped himself onto the bed beside her. "You make it sound so traditional," he cooed.

She folded her arms in front of her chest and glared at him. "It is traditional."

He poked at one of her arms. "It doesn't have to be," he replied in an almost grumpy tone.

Her eyes narrowed as she moved her face closer to his. "Why are you suggesting this?" she asked.

He shrugged. "Seems like it'd be a good idea, is all."

She shook her head and chuckled as she allowed herself to fall backward, her back coming to rest against the headboard again. "You really don't want to admit it, do you? You love me."

Tahno sneered, but even that expression appeared silky on his face. "All right. Yeah. I love you, Sato. Are you going to marry me or not? You see," he added, rising to his feet and turning his back to her, "if you don't, I'm sure I can find some other lovely lady who's up to the challenge."

She laughed out loud. "I'm the only one who'll put up with you, and you know it," she retorted. She paused a minute in wait for a reply but received none. "All right," she sighed. "Yes. I'll marry you."

He spun on his heel and showed her a satisfied smile. "That's good to hear," he murmured. "Shall we – celebrate?" He gestured toward the bedclothes, still ruffled from their activity a few minutes before.

"So quickly?" she asked skeptically. "Are you really up for that?"

He crossed quickly to his side of the bed and fell onto it. "With you, I'm always up for it," he said.
