A/N: This is SHORT I know but I found this in a folder and loved it
the way it was so it's definetly a one-shot so don't bother
asking for more, well, that's unless something pops up in my head to
add something for another one-shot chappy but I'm swamped with other
fics so don't get your hopes up. But you can feel free to pop
ideas for a chappy if you really want one.
WARNING: Why? What's the point with something only between 500 -
1000 words?
Severus Snape was highly, highly amused. Here he was standing
behind his long time boyfriend who was protecting him from a pack of
disbelieving angry Gryffindors.
"Moony! You can't be serious!" Sirius raged with disbelief still
etched on his face. Remus was beside himself laughing, but of course he
had to keep it all in or there will be more hell. "Padfoot, just calm
down a moment."
"Calm down!" James shouted as his wand was gripped in one hand and
the other clamped onto his girlfriend. "How in bloody hell are we
supposed to calm down when we catch the both of you trying to swallow one
another's tonsils!"
All 5 were quiet but tension, betrayal, and anger was thick in the
air. Lily was broken between two loyalties but she was a well rounded
woman surrounded by one track brains. Prying her hand from her
boyfriends she walked towards her werewolf friend but had her eyes on Severus
who tensed up.
Remus quickly came in her way. Lily averted her eyes and gave her
friend an exasperated look with a smile, completely ignoring the wolf
that appeared in his eyes. A moment passed and Remus lowered his head and
stepped aside.
Severus took a step back and another and another until he was
pressed against the wall with Lily standing with a dangerous glint in her
eyes. For a muggleborn Lilly Evans was an intimidating woman who had a
way with a wand that had others both awed and feared. "You hurt him and
I'll come after you." she poked him in the shoulder with her wand.
"I - I wont." Severus kept his eyes on the wand that had red sparks
emitting from the tip. "I love him and I promise not to hurt him."
"You swear?" another poke.
"I swear."
"On Slytherin?" yet another poke.
"On the whole Slytherin Line."
Lily smiled sweetly and her eyes were wet with tears. "How lovely!"
Severus was then engulfed in a hug to his utter amazement. "Oh -
welcome to the family."
These words were followed by jaws dropping, wands clattering to the
floor, and a smile from Remus that none of the male teens dared to
argue about. In this simple act of acceptance the future was forever more
changed; for the better or for the worst this author isn't telling but
one could always hope for the better future.
