"Sakura-san, Naruto-kun, thank you." Gaara said, the three teens smiling. He lay on the bed required to rest up before going back to his Kazekage duties.
"Hey, no problem!" replied Naruto, giving him a thumbs up.
"Gaara, you'll be okay after a week or so. Please be careful." Sakura advised as he nodded. Kakashi-sensei walked in the room, ready and packed.
"Naruto, Sakura, time to go." He called out, the two turning around to face him.
"Right! Let's go!"
"Coming Sensei."
Sakura gave him a hug, then went to give the rest of the nurses some quick intructions for taking care of the Kazakage's health. Naruto and Gaara shared a few laughs as Naruto assured him that he will beat Gaara someday, becoming a Hokage. "Believe it!" he yelled as Kakashi slapped his forehead.
"Geeze, again with that line!"

"Bye Temari-san!" said both teens, Kakashi then leading the way as they gave a last wave.
They jumped on the branches happy that Gaara had made it out safely yet still sad about grandma Chiyo who had been traveling with them. Sakura gave a depressed sigh as Naruto looked at her, knowing something was wrong.
"Sakura-chan?" he asked as the girl snapped out of her daze, smiling up at him.
"Huh? Oh, nothing Naruto..." she assured as Naruto slightly nodded.
After many trees and jumping, they had rested up on a spot. They had been traveling close to two days already, which Kakashi gave them a good break considering how tough it was for them recently. Making camp in a clear area, they set up the campfire as Kakashi left them for a while, going to gather some extra food. Both Naruto and Sakura sat up watching the fire, Naruto still a bit concerned about her.
"Sakura-chan, is something bothering you?"
She looked up at him and hesitated, giving a sigh. "Naruto-kun..."
"Yeah?"
Looking up at the stars, she had still wondered about him all this time. "Sasuke-kun..." she said. "He's still not here with us."
"Oh," Naruto looked at the ground also missing his once best friend. Both yearning to get him back, Naruto then asked, "You really miss him, don't you?"
Sakura nodded, her eyes then watering with tears about to spew out.
"Yes..." she replied, drawning in her knees and in a hugging position. "Naruto, we have to get him back."
"Sakura-chan... how far exactly, would you go for to get him back?"
Again she was a bit hesitant, her tears nor running down her face as she responded him. "To the point... of dying."
He sat surprised as she then wiped her tears, laying on the blanket and facing away from her friend. "Goodnight Naruto." she finished, not wanting to continue the subject any further.
"Goodnight Sakura-chan." replied Naruto, setting in his blankets and dozing off. She silently cried a bit that night before going to sleep. And in the midst of the night, someone watched the three of them in the darkness, not being heard a sound from.
"Sakura... Thank you."
She gasped, a thud beat down on her hard as he began to fade.
"Sasuke-kun..."
And at that moment, her world went out on her.

This takes after Naruto and Sakura revived Gaara and are now heading back home...
No, this will not turn out NaruSaku or GaaSaku. But there will be a slightly different ship.
However, the main one is SasuSaku :)
