Chapter 1

I like people a lot, contrary to what anyone would ever think. I love listening to people talk about things. Anything really, as long as the talker is interested in it. Everyone is passionate about something, regardless of how bold the passion is. I could listen to my idiot friends nerd out about Ulfric Stormcloak or the next Linux update all day long. I could watch ten documentaries documenting things like wormholes in space to penis size. I think it's beautiful how interested people are.

This, I realized, is probably one of the most subtly strange things about me.

Oh well.

I closed my eyes, and took a deep breath. That girl…

and her goddamn camera…

need to die.

I opened my eyes to the sound of the last snap of the camera, and looked sideways at the villain of pure evil clicking. She was sitting down at a table, alone, with her starbucks coffee. She hadn't even touched it, she was too busy photographing the little cafe. Tch.

I was supposed to meet Erwin at two, but he still hasn't showed up. It's been twenty minutes. Now I'm stuck here, alone with Miss Click and the hardly existent Starbucks staff.

All I could do was glare at the wall in front of me to try and keep my temper.

Glaring at the wall was not working. In attempt to distract myself from Miss Click's and, her sidekick, Mister Camera's evil doings, I checked my cell phone for any new texts. I had one text, received precisely at 2pm.

Can't make it, Keith needs me to work another shift. Get on Skype tonight and we can figure out another time to do this, sorry.

Fuck. Firstly, Erwin can't make it, which isn't too bad. But, Secondly, I didn't check my phone until now and wasted twenty minutes in, god forbid, Starbucks. Thirdly, I just spent twenty minutes listening to-

For fucks sake. I quickly glared to my left at the girl only to pause. She was taking pictures of me. The fuck?

Click.

"Hey…" I tried to get her attention.

I wasn't loud enough.

"Hey!"

"Shhhh, don't move around too much!" She demanded. I could only stare, surprised with wide eyes.

Click!

She snorted,"You looked funny in that picture". My brows quickly crashed down into a glare as my mouth morphed into a slight frown.

Death is the only answer here.

...

Okay, so that was just a small snip it of my story. I'm not sure if this is something I want to actually pursue, but I thought I would at least post something and see if anyone else thinks this might be a worthwhile story, even if it's only one person. I know this isn't much to work off of, but if you have any thoughts/ideas, do please share. Thanks!
